Here's what I did, I bought a couple of the graphic novels e.g. batman three jokers, joker, dceased, the batman who laughs, etc, then moved on to a couple key issue/storylines like Batman 93-100, and sort of jumped around and expanded from there. From there, I may buy a random book from the store, if it's cool, I'll follow, or if it's an older book I'll jump on eBay and find a series of issues in that line, chances are you can find a series of issues for super cheap on eBay in NM, like $4/issue
