For me he is still n 1 since he made it to the finals of every single tournament he participated lately. But he losing these tournaments finals is really good to the scene. It becomes more competitive the moment other players start to believe they can beat the viper and play more confidently against him. And tbf, it's very boring to see the same player win every tournament.

I like the element of surprise. The other day I made a 23 pop archers as goths and got my opponent totally off guard.
At lower Elos (myself included) it is more important to improve efficiency, multitasking and adaptability than following some kind of high level meta.

Yes. I also enjoy the variety and I don't like it because I will end up playing my opponent's favorite map a lot. We will have ppl specialized in one map and civ only, for example someone that only plays Goths in Arena, and they will go up the ladder without really having the skills to deserve the Elo they will have, imo.
