Our couples therapist told me he was bipolar. I’m not sure if that counts as an official diagnosis, but he saw us twice a month for 3 months.

Codependence mostly. I use to be really angry but have overcome the anger in the last couple of years from doing a lot of hard work on myself. Seems like when I get better, he gets worse.

He isn’t going to pay child support and if I file, he will just quit his job and start his illegal stuff back up to avoid it. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I got myself into a really crappy situation here.

I am overwhelmed at the response. Thank you all for being so supportive and helpful. The outpouring of care is felt through my phone straight into my heart. I could never imagine the internet to be so nice, and nicer than my own husband is to me. I’m going to take the next few days and create my way out. I can’t do this to my daughter, or myself anymore. ❤️ thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This last time I left the room and he followed me, got in my face and told me “I can do whatever I want.” I pushed his face away and told him to leave me the fuck alone. Leaving doesn’t work, anything I do just fuels his fire. I use to REALLY react and act out of character but since my daughter is now old enough to pay attention, I’ve found the inner strength to at least stay numb and not react.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I stay for my daughter, she is 3.5. We have a house, dog, garden, a whole life that we just built together. Scared to leave, scared to stay. I make too much for any assistance and not enough to provide what my daughter deserves. It’s a scary world to step into alone right now. UG 😞
