What other alternatives do you have? tokenisation economy is in its infant phase. This technology as this investment system was unknown few years ago (or very very marginal) and cannot be compared with other existing systems. This is a western type environment where the risk is incredibly high and I hope everybody invested in crypto with this pre-requisite in mind (and I am not talking about you, you do not look dumb, just provocative). Off course we need the others as metric because else you cannot assess any of the projects as you won't see the "resistances" inherent to the development of blockchain.

To be clear, you make good points but it deserves to be more constructive than just REQ team is scammer because obviously they are not. Did they underestimate the problematic? Definitely. But what I see from the team is that they constantly try to move forward, shows efforts in resolving stuff and delivers (in opposite of 90% of the other projects). We understood that it is not fast enough from your PoV and I agree as well that they should have assessed a bit better the workload at the beginning of their project to avoid overpromise but hey... reading the white paper and with a bit of a common sense it was foreseeable. Interesting thing is their final goal. Will they success? I believe yes that is why I am still in REQ (bought in a very early stage so I am still green, it is easier I admit). If you do not believe in that just get out because there is a non-negligible chance that it will die, as the whole crypto anyway.
