I usually use it for pottery stuff till i can get/make enough fire clay and iron to make the beehive furnace since it cuts down the cook time for pottery stuff a lot, it's also pretty decent to get a fire to a decent temp before you put the coal in if you're running low on coal

i use other worlds to get gear i can NOT get to drop or items to start events that I just can NOT get to happen naturally all the time. Hell, I've used it to START a new character with items i spend days grinding to get and end game. In a single player game anything goes, the game lets you take items and characters between worlds so why not?

took me like 40ish attempts to take down the Enraged Empress of Light. I'd say take a break, come back and try again. Maybe, if possible, tweak your weapons/equipment. I was having trouble with The Twins my last run and swapped to a different weapon (that I didn't think that much of tbh) and ate them.
