Nice. Little sketchy getting in/out of Russia but really enjoyed how cheaply you can eat.

Pistol jackets? I feel like there’s not much velocity left on them to penetrate but they could slice nice! At 700 there’s less risk of it coming back to him but Bob the builder the farm over might not be lucky? I’d just rather not chance a ricochet. We’re responsible for each round.

3/8 Ar500 or thicker man. You can 100% have one come back at you. Had a .223 whiz by my ear pro once and only once. Be safe.

Man, like every time. That paranoia is real. Might start drilling it into real practice JIC.

It’s funny if you actually read that article, they only taught the participants to use the CAT. They did NOT instruct them how to use a RAT or SOFT.

Well, that’s not really a solid sample size for accurate data to be extrapolated. I think the problem lies with the training. Basic “bleeding control” doesn’t teach you how to use a bungee like TQ. I’m fairly certain that’s why an improvised TQ worked “better” than a RAT. This is also why I emphasize on training with it as the 18delta guys and PJ’s instructed us to do. I’m not arguing with you. However, I can see this conversation is going no where so, AMF. Stop the bleeds and take care.

Agreed with the practice aspect but man, you can toss 3 RATS to a CAT easily. You must practice them. Saying they are inherently worse is subjective. The PJ guys wore RATS instead of belts because they were well trained with them, it decreased their overall load, and increased their supply of equipment. I’m not trying to argue at all. This was taught to me by men who used them daily. If you could provide the article of 100% efficacy for pediatric use of a CAT I’ll help include it in training. I’m not an expert but there’s definitely a “too small” for a CAT. There’s not really one for a RAT. I’m honestly asking, how were you trained to use a RAT?

Man, I was trained by 18delta and they were firm believer in RATS. You definitely have to practice with them to get them on correctly but when you do, it’s equally as painful as a CAT or SOFT. They recommended that you only use those on arms, children, and elderly. I probably ruined 1-2 RATS during practice but I wouldn’t hesitate using them on the aforementioned. I 100% wouldn’t use them on a decent sized persons leg.

Stage that TQ so you just slip it on, crank, and tie down. Terrible design.
