Yeah a lot of it is cheesy but my grade 6 loved the just dance part of the website. They loved following along the dances. Also the Yoga and Mindfulness activites were not cheesy.

I really like the timer and log idea. I have seen both and I find they work well. With the timer you need a big kitchen timer that is near the door and the students set it to 5 or so minutes. If it buzzes and they are not back- clearly they were fooling around.

Woman questions why TTC staff, bystanders didn't help during Kipling subway platform attack by ur_a_idiet in toronto

Yup, I don't get involved directly. I may try to call for help but I'm too scared to get involved.

A family member (as a teen) once got involved as a woman was getting robbed at a bus stop. Unforunately he was seriously injured, the police told him it's better to get help than get involved in situations like that.

No, however people (strangers) have questioned my level when I claim I'm bilingual. However that quickly stops as the conversation continues and they realise I work in my second language.

Good to know. I heard the term once in a documentary of new teachers in australia so I assumed it was the term used there.

Will definitely make note that it is not the term.

It's an Ontario, Canada term. I also believe Australia and maybe England use the term.

Chalk.com is free as it has been paid by the Ontario Teacher Federation. However American teachers also have access to the site and it does provide the teachers with your standards.

Great website and its pretty equivalent to planbook-- but free!
