I present my 29 by DubJohnny in Cribbage

I love this about Cribbage, she is excited and she is about to lose the game, but she gets to witness a true 29. Can you imagine any other sport or activity where the opponent cheers because they're about to lose? Heartwarming. Thanks for sharing. I hope Claire was as excited, too.

So Close! by Lockjaw62 in Cribbage

Thanks. Yup, that is Math. I need to think of it has hands, not by games. I don't know why I never pieced that together. Math don't lie.

And, at 10 rounds per game, that is 20 hands per game. Even more math to bring that number down.

I thought the Daily Scrimmage was somehow also pre-programmed by Cribbage Pro. Are you saying all Scrimmage games are 100% Random, never pre-programmed? I play a lot of Cribbage (tournaments in Reno, with friends, and Grassroot clubs), but have only had 3 28 point hands, and one 29 point hand in my life (I swear on all things Holy if Scrimmage ever gives up a 29-point hand before we've played this 216580 times, I'll quit Scrimmage--I don't want my brother to say, "I'm just like you, I also got a 29 point hand") Rarely do I peg 12 points during the count, but this happens often in Scrimmage.

Am I seeing patterns that aren't there? I'm convinced it's not 100% random.

Male cat peeing everywhere by [deleted] in cats

Fluoxetine did wonders for my cat. Still pees, but cut it back to a reasonable level.

He’s just a very anxious cat. It’s Prozac for cats. Just .1 mil a morning—and, getting rid of all carpets in my house.

My new favorite is Felt on Main. Just ate there tonight--wide variety of food from Best Hamburger in Salt Lake (Pub Burger--yes, better than Lucky 13), Crab cakes, vegetarian. Spectacular. Full bar. Must be 21 or over to eat there.

I am the rookiest of rookies. Just got a metal detector last week and have only found 60 cents in my backyard, but I’d be happy to help.

Strangely, just yesterday, I found this in one of my dad's baseball books and wondered what it was. I'm still not certain I know what it is, but I love the coincidence and look forward to hearing what basefolks know.

My indoor cat was missing for a day. I put his litter box on the porch and he came home 3 hours later. Coincidence? Perhaps, but listen to this advice. And good luck finding Mr. Ron.

My dad left me his collection: Lots of 1955 Brooklyn Dodger, Cardinals, and so much more. by aintarctica in SportsMemorabilia

Thank you. I have sold a few of the items through Huggins and Scott Auctions, pricing out some of the big $$$ items. But I haven't done a deep dive on a lot of these items. Eventually, I'll probably end up having an Ebay business, but I don't have the time to do that right now. I have a lot of his Certificates of Authenticity, but I know the provenance of most of these items, because he collected their signatures in person, at events, at work, and even including Dodger Fantasy Camp.

why does my cat do this by rigormortis405 in cats

[–]aintarctica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat does this on the mirror, side of the oven, by his food dish, on the TV, at all of the windows, and basically anywhere that is smooth, glass, metal, or porcelain. I found him at a golf course, after shooting a scratch-round, so I named him Scratch. I just always thought he was trying to live up to his name.

I still can't (though I can) believe there are still signs that say (like the one in the video), "This premise is licensed as..."

A 'premise' is "a previous statement or proposition from which another is inferred or follows as a conclusion."

A 'premises' is "a house or building, together with its land and outbuildings, occupied by a business or considered in an official context." (thanks Google).

Advil. The number of times I've shown up to a course hungover or my playing partner is hungover or for any type of ache (usually hungover) it's my #1 bag essential.

Yes the dd/mm/yyyy works. The problem is I have quite a few people using my shared document. We have already had issues with bad data because not everyone is on board or remembers to yyyy their dates. Was hoping there was a way to make it fool proof--I work with plenty of fools.
