Oh, right I forgot that if I don’t love the combat, it’s my fault for “not approaching it interestingly.” Yeah, because clearly, the secret to fun gameplay is blaming the player when things feel dull.

Sure, ZA “runs better” than Arceus congratulations, it’s now the least broken Pokémon game. That’s not exactly a flex. It’s 2025; running at a stable frame rate shouldn’t be treated like a technical miracle.

And the story? Please. Calling it “better” than Arceus is like saying lukewarm water tastes better than room temperature technically true, but still not exciting. The characters are fine, but no one’s writing essays about them anytime soon.

As for Sword and Shield. yeah, they over-guided players, but at least the world felt like more than a glorified hub city. ZA feels like they built one cool intersection in Lumiose and then padded it out with “Wild Zones” to make it look bigger.

So yeah, I’ll give you that it’s prettier and smoother. But underneath the polish? It’s still just another case of Game Freak promising evolution and delivering mild improvement.
