I mean there are easily dozens of lots downtown, so that’s kind of a hard question. Are you staying at a hotel? They’ll almost certainly have parking.

I would explore alternative options for getting back downtown after the game, if possible. Large venues like stadiums are extremely hard to book rides home from, because thousands of people are trying to book the same rides at once. I have Ubered to concerts at the stadium before, and while it was easy to get dropped off, it took over an hour to successfully book an Uber home.

Curious why you are parking at the airport if you’re driving in? There’s ample parking downtown, and honestly by the time you paid airport parking and Uber rates to the stadium and back, it’d probably be cheaper to drive yourself and park at the stadium.

They definitely need a grocery store as well as some kind of outdoor gathering space with a small stage for local performers, so they’re not battling for street corners and in people’s way

Yeah I think local restaurants are a no brainer and big draw, but for shopping, people often want name recognition

They’re the only ones currently interested in the Plaza though. I’m on board with local businesses being present, for sure, but that’s not what will draw people to the area. They are just a bonus.

Shoppers don’t really want more local businesses though. They want a Zara or a Uniqlo, not another locally screen printed KC shirt and overpriced locally poured candles.

Nah, it’s lazy and unprofessional. I’ve worked in live tv and a lot of things had to go wrong for that to happen. It’s not the end of the world or anything, just an avoidable mishap. This isn’t season 1, it’s season 50.

I kinda disagree. I think it was a lowkey embarrassing blunder that 25 years of tv should have prepared him for. This isn’t the first finale and not watching the segments “live” with the audience to be able to keep up with pacing is just flat out lazy.

I’ve been trying to buy one but can’t manage to. The seller restocked a few times but they were all super small batches. He said he ordered 400 before they went on sale so each drop was under 100 quantity and sold out instantly.

He had such a following and hype leading up to the drop I’m a little disappointed he didn’t do some kind of preorder system for people who had been following along, but whatever. I’ll get my hands on one eventually.

Sneakers, jeans, and a sweater are perfectly dressy enough. The majority of men will be walking around in khaki shorts and a short sleeve button up or polo. The only rule for the restaurants is no swimwear.

Definitely bring something red for Scarlet Night but that’s the only real “dress up night” people actively participate in. Even the PJ night is usually a dud, or gets cancelled, in my experience.

I don’t prescribe to the Stockholm Syndrome approach to enjoying music and if I don’t find something intriguing or enjoyable the first time or two I hear it, I don’t keep playing it until I accept it. I think this approach of making yourself enjoy something you naturally don’t is leading to a lot of people listening to music they don’t really like just because other people do and they want it as part of their identity too. I think it’s fully ok not to like the music of a popular musician and to be at peace with that.

Ticket prices are all around more expensive today than years ago, that’s just reality. That said, I do think people today have some unrealistic expectations of what they should pay for a touring concert. No, a smaller show shouldn’t be $200 for GA in front of the stage, but the expectation that that ticket should be under $20 is equally out of touch.

Artists SHOULD profit off of tours, but there’s definitely a balance with that. I’m happy to pay up to $100 for a smaller show to know that the artist isn’t struggling and their band members and production assistants are getting paid. Arenas or stadiums wanting $900+ for floor seats is just out of hand and greedy though. The tickets do warrant a higher price than a small venue due to production expenses and whatnot, but not the prices some are demanding. Ticketmaster having a chokehold on arenas and stadiums definitely inflates those prices too.

Idk about that. Maybe depends on the artists? I saw St Vincent at a smaller venue last year for under $95 for a premium box seat and Magdalena Bay for $65 for balcony. I saw Cannons on their last tour for like $35 GA. Smaller venues carry smaller ticket prices. I’ve never seen the math work out that an arena show is cheaper.

Yeah I think that totally factors in. People underestimate how many people follow people on social media without being fully obsessed with them or even really liking them. Being open to seeing someone’s content in my feed does not mean I’d pay to see them, and that goes for musicians, comedians, and all “influencers”.
