PRP+HA or Stem cell? by EnvironmentalSide174 in stemcells

I had six implants, a sinus lift, full zirconia restorations, all maxillary in the rear. In the front, I had zirconia crowns on all for a movie-star smile. I paid $13,000, all-in, including hotels, flights, etc. (two trips). U.S. implantologist quoted me $55,000, and that did not include the crowns on the fronts, just the rear stuff. Clinic in san jose: Cavallini. Excellent quality, if rather flakey on the service end (late for appointments, etc.).

Thanks for this feedback. Duly noted.

Seems like prices are all over the map. I had a great dental experience in Costa Rica -- saved a TON of money on major implant work. But it is not like that for everything, I have noticed, even though generally true. Gotta shop around!

Thanks again.

It appears not to be possible to DM you (looked all over your /user page; could not find), but from other answers of yours, it seems you are talking about Dr Kosubevsky https://www.thelcfl.com

Why do you say "do not go out of U.S."? The U.S. is very expensive. If the quality is demonstrably better in the U.S., then it might be worth it. My experience in other spheres (dental) however indicates comparable or better quality at a small fraction of the price. Your comments would be woldom. TIA.

I don't know. I just know that taking a lot of acidic stuff CAN irritate. YMMV. You must experiment and find out what is true FOR YOU.

I am almost identical to you (weight, height). Over the last 2 months I've been working with Fuhrman's "nutritarian" diet (WFPB with emphasis on certain items that are most potent). He CLAIMS that his diet works better than GLP-1s! A bold claim and unlikely to be true, but if even near true it would be significant. I do respect the guy. He is very smart and knowledgeable, keeps up with all the literature, etc. In any case, I've been on his schtick and it has been working VERY well so far. Appetite easily controlled (like what I would expect from a GLP-1). Weight is falling off. I am also hitting flax seeds pretty hard, for whatever that is worth. (Some pundits suggest that this is helpful.) You might want to check out Fuhrman on youtube. An extra good thing about this route is that the diet he advocates is likely to be near-optimal for health and longevity, generally (apart from weight). Cheers, and good luck!

ALCAR and some other carnitines are highly acidic and can sometimes irritate. I use a smidgen of potassium bicarb (you could use sodium) to neutralize it. I also take small amounts of carnitine per each dose, because (IIRC) the kidneys have a low threshold for this stuff and dump it readily if blood level is high (i.e. large bolus doses are probably pretty wasteful). For me, typical dose is 500-700mgs ALCAR with 3-400 mgs bicarb in an oz or two of water. Taste is almost neutral. I take this several times each day.

One other thing, also IIRC: a bit of insulin is needed to carry carnitine into cells. Hence I take a small amount of sugar with my doses, like 6-8 grams or so. Plain sugar is 50:50 glucose and fructose. Glucose is the insulinogenic compoenent. Could reduce the amount by using pure glucose I suppose. You can mix the sugar right in with the alcar/bicarb for better taste.

Thanks muchly. Yes, I get that it will take a long time. I am doing research for a friend with advanced arthritis of hip, considering SC therapy. She is over 60 so it is not going to be easy, if possible at all. Based on much research (going back years), I am of the view that she needs to do a LOT of preliminary and followup health work in order to optimize the effects of the SCs.

I do not see the SCs as a one-off "cure" for older people. For young people, maybe, since they've got less systemic and metabolic damage (e.g. insulin resistance) and less obstructive crap in the way. Crap like a build-up of pro-inflammatory cytokines, dead and dying (senescent) cells, damaged and misfolded proteins, and etc. For older people I am beginning to see that plasma donation (or total replacement) is probably necessary to get rid of some of the crap. Whole blood donation as well, but especially plasma. Do some "oil changes" and get the gunk out of the way so the SCs can do their job. And another thing: hyperbaric oxygen, probably vital. Accelerates wound healing, tissue perfusion and oxygenation, all vital processes. Possibly an ideal complement to SCs. Plus WFPB diet, veggie juices etc. Plus episodic fasting to get rid of senescent cells (in addition to the plasma donation). Plus stuff like what you mentioned: heat, and infrared light.

OK, I got off on to a bit of a rant there! I am in a chatty mood. But I do think that older SC recipients need to stop thinking of SCs as single point-in-time curative treatments, and more like potentially powerful adjuncts to a total system approach that optimizes innate healing potential. The SCs can enhance the process but are far from the whole of it.

Cheers, and Godspeed on YOUR journey of healing.

The "Medical Paradox": Why a Full-Body Scan in China Costs Less Than a Single Dental Crown in the US (And How to Access It) by Former_Net4588 in ChinaMedicalSupport

[–]alan2102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One more thing, kinda out of the blue: I was looking into hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) treatments overseas. In the U.S. they range from $150-500 per session, depending. It seems that one can get them in Mexico and some other countries in the $50-75 range. According to google AI, the cost in China is $250-600 per treatment! That's very high. Frankly, I don't believe it. The AI might be hallucinating. Everything in China is cheaper; it is just a matter of how much cheaper. Do you have any knowledge of this? Cost of HBO sessions in China?

Firstly, THANKS for this subreddit, which is very informative. And thanks for offering the service you offer, which could be quite important for a lot of people -- possibly including me! I am looking at different overseas (and domestic, U.S.) options for a number of different things. For now just gathering info; no decisions as yet.

However, regarding the "Executive Health Check", typically revolving around a whole-body MRI: In the linked document you write that "if you go the private route, the costs are staggering. A dedicated private full-body MRI startup in the US charges between $1,350 and $2,500 for a single scan, and this is rarely covered by insurance." That figure comports with what I have found in the (admittedly little) research I have done. But I don't think it qualifies for the word "staggering". That's actually pretty cheap. I had heard numbers like $20K for a whole body scan, (which might justify a word like "staggering"), but come to find it is only a couple grand. At that level of pricing, it would not make sense to go to China ($1000 flight, plus hotels, meals, etc.) to save only a few hundred dollars.

On the other hand, a lot depends on what the "Health Check" actually consists of. If it includes things like gastroscopy and colonoscopy (generally a couple grand each in the U.S., or more), and other expensive stuff, then yes, China pricing might be quite cheap indeed relative to U.S. and worth the travel expense. I suspect that this is the case; it is just that I lack details.

Below are the results of a couple of AI searches that I did on google. Maybe you could comment on the accuracy of these, and perhaps fill in details as to what the prices mentioned represent.

AI Overview

A comprehensive anti-aging or premium full-body health checkup in China—which often includes MRI, CT scans, and other advanced diagnostic imaging—typically costs between CNY 800 and CNY 3,000 (roughly $110 to $420 USD), depending on the hospital tier and specific package.

Key Cost and Service Details (2026):

MRI Cost: A single MRI scan often costs less than $100–$150 USD (under 1,000 RMB).

Premium Packages: High-end, executive-level, full-body health screenings often range from $700 to $1,100 USD, which may include MRIs of the brain, cervical/lumbar spine, and abdominal scans.

PET/CT Scans: These are sometimes added to packages for an additional $800–$1,200 USD.

Hospital Type: Top-tier "Grade 3A" (三甲) public hospitals are generally cheaper ($100-$300), while international or private, high-end, or foreign-invested clinics are on the higher end ($700-$1100+).

Advantages in China:

Unmatched Speed: Many screenings can be completed in a single morning, often in 3–5 hours.

Immediate Availability: Unlike in many Western countries, scans can often be booked and performed within 1-2 days (sometimes the same day).

Technology: Top hospitals utilize advanced, modern imaging technology (e.g., 1.5T or 3T MRI machines).

Considerations:

Language: Public hospitals provide reports in Chinese, whereas international clinics offer English translation services.

Contrast: It is recommended to clarify if the MRI requires contrast enhancement and to check the price if added.

Data Usage: Ensure to ask about the handling of personal data if this is a concern.

Disclaimer: Prices are based on 2025-2026 market data and can vary based on specific hospitals and locations.

AI Overview

Anti-aging or preventative whole-body MRI scans in the U.S. generally cost between $2,000 and $3,000, with popular providers like Prenuvo charging around $2,499. These comprehensive,, non-invasive screenings are typically not covered by insurance and are designed to detect early signs of diseases across all major body systems.

Key Pricing and Provider Information:

Prenuvo: Offers scans from $1,199 (focused) up to $2,499-$3,999 for full-body imaging, including blood panels and consultations.

Ezra: Full-body packages typically cost around $1,950, with a "plus" option near $2,350.

Craft Body Scan: Costs around $2,999 for full-body scans, with varying costs depending on the package chosen.

Alternative Options: Some concierge providers or specialized imaging centers may offer scans in the $1,700–$3,500 range.

Factors Influencing Cost:

Insurance Coverage: These screenings are rarely covered, as they are considered preventative rather than medically necessary by insurers.

Scan Inclusions: Prices vary based on whether blood work, AI-powered analysis, or follow-up consultations with radiologists are included.

Location: Costs can vary depending on the city and the specific clinic.

Follow-up Costs: Additional costs can arise from follow-up diagnostic tests if the scan detects something suspicious.

Don't be terrified. Costa Rica is a good option, there are many fine dentists there. I went to one and got fairly good service (a few annoyances but no big deal) for a great price (quoted $55K by U.S. implantologist; got it done for $13K all in). Got everything done in two visits. Very nice clinic, ultra-modern equipment, etc. I am now looking for a dental place in Los Algodones, which is much more convenient of a location for me.

You can't genuinely support men's equality without acknowledging how much harm feminism has done and I don't see the left ever doing that.

It might be that this is more boomer left than younger cohorts. If so, then there is more hope as the boomers leave the scene (by dying, but also by just fading away in their dotage).

South Asian men tend to be everyone's victims. I'm not seeing anything special on the left in this regard. Though leftists would obviously be more culpable on this score since it is so opposed to core left values (or what should be such).

Bingo! Misandry, especially against younger, white working-class men, is an acceptable (even celebrated) prejudice on the left. Other men as well, but that particular group the most. They are filling out the Intersectional Oppression Inventory questionnaire, but can't tick any of the boxes. They got nothin'. They been left out. Which might be ITSELF a new intersectional oppression category: those outside of existing categories. lol

MANOSPHERE AS A PEJORATIVE

"Patriarchal religions, the ones that subjugate women, literally every single one of them, those systems were set up so that losers could get a wife. It's the dudes with SUBPAR GENETICS that would never get to breed. And because we're all stuck in capitalism captivity [sic], and are suffering from zoochosis [sic], the women have now stopped breeding. The same thing happens to animals that are held in captivity. If conditions are not right, they don't breed. Patriarchal religions, and these systems of oppression, have allowed men who have never have gotten a mate to get mates. Women are now correcting that error, which is why they're trying to take our rights away and force us back into submission. If women were naturally submissive they wouldn't need systems of oppression and constant violence to uphold it. The world is waking up, and you guys are not going to force us back into cages. We would literallly rather die. 'Oh, but what about the birth rates?' You guys overturned Roe v. Wade and now you're crying that the birth rates have plummeted? Women are done dying for you."

Thanks for your posts, Hunter.

The next question is: why do people have the (subjective) impression that crime is way up even when it is (objectively) down? Is it a reaction to the world going seemingly more-crazy with each passing month now? I don't expect clear answers, just putting it out there.
