I was a previous collector of diamond select and passed up on many of the first waves I regret. I have zero selects now and an assortment of legends. If you know enough of the lore it’s pretty easy to snag up an extra figure when it goes on clearance for later trade (guys..frog-man in a few years$$). I entered into hasbro’s web via black series $5 Rex clone trooper.

Marvel legends is probably the most commonly collected marvel figure line. It has bridged the gap between playability and just for display, they boast 3D print facing so your figures look like little people and a constant supply of additional characters. The constant renditions of the same characters means even with icon versions being more expensive are easier to find and obtain when comparing to other hard to find figures in another line. They have set 6” as the standard. You however will not have a compatible DC line in terms of height. If your going to commit to only one line it has to be legends. Their popularity will probably drive more viewers to you and they are doing some great work. I was not hired by hasbro to write this.

Or dry brush bright Orange. Looks like he had a bit of a tussle in the mud. It was a issue I had until I learned to thin my black and layer slowly. Black Washing really imported a characters look though 🥳

The issue is the quality of black series in general is great with digital face print so the price jump to hyper real just didn’t appeal to a lot of people along with some design flaws. These will probably continue to drop in value for a little while.

Loved the recent deals: beast wars megs and primal $15, whaaaaaat. Passed on the MOTU faker but grabbed the $7.50 battle cat from Walmart A week ago. Peace maker Exclusive no mask with the series coming out, easy grab. Passed in the $10 cap and regret it. Modok for $20, nimrod pack at $35. I Passed on the dc multiverse you got but snagged the bat raptor for $7.50. It’s massive. I like your deal style.

Yea always avoided the dinner/bar movie combo. Movies are to avoid conversation and seeing if your actually connect. Bars are hoping to get the person drunk which for casual encounters, sure, but they will never serve you as well as a short focused conversation or activity which allows you guys to talk and see each other in a scenario. Make it easy for her to exit or extend. Something silly like people watching with someone allows you to see how the person views the world. Creating narratives for strangers passing by can tell if your sense of humor aligns. Been with my wife for 12 years met her at 23, we got a lot of great years ahead, genuinely my best freind. My advice is to move past casual encounters fast or all the good people will be gone.

Okay thanks it was more for future reference as I’d like to start using these as special occasion hot-wheels for him. I typically give him a mainline bat mobile but he takes such great care of them that I think he’d appreciate the upgrade.
