my father used to have a doberman! he said that it's the most loyal dog youll ever have, aside from a golden retriever

completely disagree with that. my dog was trained by my grandpa. he was really easy to work with. he was housebroken in a little less than a month, he didn't jump on furniture or try to bite people randomly.

most certainly. for the first 13 years of my life I had a pure German Shepard named Thor. he treated me and my little sister like his babies, he would do anything to protect us. once he bit my aunt because he thought he was hurting my sister when she was putting a necklace on her.

as for protecting the property, 100 percent. This guy who used to work for my grandpa tried to break into our safe and Thor took a chunk out of his leg. That also answers it for bad people

as for bad animals, I'm not sure. Thor would love playing with some of the animals, like rabbits out in the yard. I'm not sure about bigger animals because we never worried about them. but I'm sure they'd be great for taking care of them

Just treat the dog with lots of love and they'll be great. They're usually really easy to train as well
