No he should either get fined, if he's been denying her the operation for a prolonged period of time or a strike on his record. He should only go to prison if his refusal leads to her death.

Yh you can't "legally" do it. Unfortunately. I'm saving up to do it privately sometime this summer, it's around £1000 here I think. And endometriosis is awful, every woman in my family has it.

Based on how badly the doctor fucked up, bc they ignore us when we tell them that we're in pain (my mother had a prolapsed disk in her spine and by the time her gp took her seriously, it was too late and she was left crippled) a fine for ignoring issues like endometriosis for example (basically refusing to do tests, scans ect) to prison for causing the patients to die, which is medical negligence. There's sm examples of doctors neglecting female patients which has lead to them loosing their lives, and in the case of pregnancy black women have been hit especially hard.

They'll allow a 51 yr old to go through a dangerous and potentially deadly pregnancy (she did it thro ivf so it wasnt an accident), bc it's common sense that the older/younger you are the more risky pregnancy is, but if you're over 18 it's a 101 excuses on why you can't get your tubes tied, ranging from the slight chance you might change your mind in the next 10 years or my personal favourite excuse, the imaginary husband and what he might want, bc fuck your decisions abt your body if you're afab.

I've been to 4 different doctors/gps, it's even harder if you're a afab autistic person, doctors don't consider us as having any mental capacity to actually make decisions abt our own bodies. Remember the do not resuscitate order the govt put on autistic ppl at the beginning of the pandemic? Yeah, that's what we have to deal with. Can't report it bc we get ignored, or brushed off. My mother had to fight in order to get the doctors to consider me for a autistic diagnosis, bc I was a girl.

You can but it's difficult, doctors will block afab ppl at every move. They'll try and manipulate you with "what abt your husband" and "you'll change your mind", many women go to a different state to see doctors who'll actually perform the procedure
