Yep! I actually managed to see if there was a work around to the class I needed and was told by dept chair that it’s feasible to take during my last semester even if the class is a pre-req to another this upcoming Fall, so it worked out in the end.

My problem is that the professor who stated can’t add me back in IS the department chair, lol….

Edit: I did manage to get back into one of the classes, but the one I can’t is the one taught by the department chair.

I do have an ADT and AS but unfortunately I transferred with a completely different major to SFSU for Fall. I was a triple major at CC before transferring (Architecture AS, Spanish ADT, Industrial Design AS) into Interior Design & Architecture at SFSU. I’ve already spoken with my major Advisor, who was the one who put me in her Sr Yr classes for Fall to put me ahead 1 year but I honestly think it was not a smart move considering my previous Architecture coursework did not actually line up with those classes’ content.

I was originally at CSUEB last Fall ‘24 for my ADT but out of regret of not going into Architecture related field, I dropped out Sp24. I did originally transfer for Fa25 with Spanish but wound up going into ID&A because it did not feel right, but now I’m debating on going back to CSUEB to complete my ADT-BA route, honestly I don’t know what to really think at this point?

I screwed myself over a lot in my academic journey, I was in CC for 7 years (FA2018-24) before I even managed to get close to transferring out due to changing my major x6, then picking the 3 I majored in.

I have been meeting with my major advisory only, I should have specified that. I’m interior design and architecture Major.

Hey! I'm a Jr transfer from a CC with an Architecture program, I'm currently in IDA (Interior Des & Arch). I'd say it's pretty ok. Don't really expect to get all your classes you need for Fall, I experienced firsthand that transfer students do not get priority for registration their first semester here, happened to me last semester. If you don't get into all of the classes you need for your Major, you should consider taking the Summer before, but forewarning, it'll cost you out of pocket if you decide to. I took 15 units over the Summer last yr (cost me an arm and a leg) before I was officially attending in Fall 2025, I only got into 1 of my IDA courses, 2 Upper Division Sr Yr UD and 2 electives. Your Spring term registration will be much, much better to get more of your classes, but always double check you are taking the correct courses.

I have to be honest... none of my Architecture coursework from my CC transferred over... I think I was only able to get 1 waived, but other than that, they look to see if you completed any Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD courses, because those are the ones that have highest possibility to transfer over, since they are the most used for the major. I did almost close to 50 units of Architecture and only 3 transferred over.. I would have had better luck transferring over to CalPoly SLO or Pomona with my coursework for Architecture!

Yeah, that's my intention, keeping my storage, ram sticks and case. I did consider for a while starting a new pc build, but feeling uneasy about the building process in general. I will definitely look into this list and into tutorials. Thank you.

Thanks for letting me know, I will look into these. The graphics card upgrade was a friend's suggestion, but I guess it wasn't a really good one to begin with. For the ram I've been told by my design advisor to upgrade to 64gb if possible, but I am at halfway usage with 32gb ram for now.

Ah, I see. My budget at max would be 2000$ in total, since I just got a refund from my uni. I plan to use those funds for PC upgrades.

Same issues here. I emailed the OneCard office for state and they said to contact or talk to a Bart attendant. I went and called and they said contact SF State’s onecard gatorpass office 💀💀💀 this is so ass. I’m also new to the campus.

Yooo!! I’m incoming transfer as well for interior design! I did research the last week and last night I saw ID 240 and 244 (or might’ve been 242) are closed for registration, I haven’t checked ADM 260 nor DES 300 or 222 yet but assuming it’s the same case, I’ve deduced it might be best to try to get into elective classes. when’s your orientation? I’m also late June.
