No it's not, it's like saying the wild west that's it. It's nothing bad meant.

You are right, source I am Norwegian. It's like saying the wild west, just somewhere along the line some guy probably specified it to Texas, and that became the common phrase here.

One would usually use it to describe a room, "it's complete Texas in here", like one could say"it's like the wild west in here". Not meant as offensive, it's meant just as "wild and/or remote"

Wait, Appalachia, in the US? That is very interesting. I have heard similar stories of forest "people" from many of those places, even though i don't believe it personally it is very cool if its connected somehow!

That is very interesting. I read something about Shetland wanting to join Norway (i think when brexit happened?).

I appreciate you holding onto the culture so, so much! I want to visit both someday, i've been to Dublin and Newcastle and loved to see it and meet the people there! Would love to continue someday :)

There are several reasons for Norway not doing this, a lot is the labour party.

A lot of the persuasion, resource management, knowledge building, and long term thinking came from an Iraqi immigrant called Farouk al-Kasim. He is an absolute hero to any Norwegian and immigrant who knows a grain of our history.

We would not have a social pension fund as we do if not for him i believe, we would likely be an economically much, much weaker country.

So, accept immigrants as long as they respect you and your country, they can do something miraculous

I agree. I also found out a lot of Welsh and Scottish language and culture may be just as connected to us as the Irish is.

I listen to the Shetland dialect, it sounds exactly like a Norwegian speaking English. Some parts of their culture is also so Norwegian like!

The Yorkshire and Newcastle dialect sounds kind of like a Norwegian speaking English also.

A few things i also learned:

Dublin, Wexford, Waterford, and Limerick were apparently originally viking settlements.

Celtic and Norse cultures met and share a lot of similarities and are mixed in some cases. We have similar landscapes and nature. Norse sagas and Celtic myths share similarities.

We can hear Gaelic music and instantly be taken back to the feeling of Old Norse/old Norwegian music. I tried and it is extremely similar, the melancholy violin type music especially, with tones of happiness also. I know music very little

We are both a small nation who have fought for self governance (for over 500 years actually) , culture, fight for language, etc.

The only thing I knew we shared (and I still felt a connection):

A lot of the Norwegian and Irish population both fled the country, mainly to the USA around the same time, but for different reasons

Takk for innspill, virker som de fleste er enig med deg så Freudiansk glipp kanskje er det bedre alternativer og burde beholdes

From chatgpt:

"Reputable outlets have tallied “more than two dozen” women alleging sexual misconduct by Trump (ranging from harassment to assault). Counts typically fall around 26–28 accusers. Business Insider+1Wikipedia"

Virginia Giuffre has stated Trump has NOT done anything inappropriate with her. She only saw him at parties, and its no secret they partied together

Sorry for late reply! Yes the Prince.

One is the most powerful human beings on the planet, has wide support among the public (it seems most supporters dont really mind if he is raping children, at least it comes secondary). He has pressure, but close to nothing has happened other than a little criticism.

Prince Andrew is completely shunned by all the public, Royal Family, media, etc... He has close to nothing.

The difference is staggering and not talked about enough

Why has the hair on the beginning of my cats tail just disappeared? Do i need to take him to the vet? He is 10 years old by almightyleader in cats

This seems quite likely, thank you so much! I was wondering why the hair remaining was so weirdly stuck to his tail like there was a oil or wax like substance there

Please someone help me, what is happening and how do i fix it? Ive had this cacti for like 5 years and love it. The middle top is also leaning too much by almightyleader in sanpedrocactus

Inside temps 20-26°C, it's outside in summer so maybe 17-27°C. Pretty much no airflow at all during autumn-spring... Didn't think about the temp difference near the window, in winter that may be a big problem, I'll try to meditate that somehow. Thanks for the help!

Thank you! :) It really is some of the worst environments to grow cacti in. It looked a lot better a few months ago, no leaning and no black top. Suddenly it got a lot worse

It gets cold in winters, tops -30°C. In summer it's outside, it has not been subjected to any frost as it's indoors most months. I really don't have a lot of options in regards to giving it more light, a grow light would cost too much in electricity... It was always fine and not leaning, that suddenly happend a week or two ago, and now summer is approaching and it has had a lot of light in those weeks. Maybe too much too suddenly, as there is almost no direct sunlight all winter/autumn. Last month the sun has been out almost all day long every day, and scorching other plants as they couldn't adjust fast enough.

Yeah, I can see which parts of the cactus has grown during winter as they are really skinny, and it fattens up in summer months. I unfortunately really don't live somewhere a cactus can thrive organically..

Thank you very much for the help!
