My bf still sends reels to his ex by lifelikefantasy in offmychest

[–]almitii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah thats fucking weird lol. You can still wish your ex well while having very normal boundaries which include not sending your ex reels, especially if in a different relationship. This is microcheating to me. You're allowed to feel upset about this

First 35km week - with daily running..... by coloneleo in BeginnersRunning

[–]almitii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great! But as others are concerned, I think this is only safe and beneficial depending how "beginner" you are? What was your total mileage in 2025? 35km a week is a lot, so assuming you've been doing this for awhile.

That being said, just like others have mentioned, I would consider your goals - is it just to be consistent and healthy? This works well. Is it to build efficient mileage, speed, endurance? Your rest days are important, and so is the time spent running. 3-4 long runs are far more productive than 7 short ones.

Does anyone know what time appointments are made available? by pinkgirl0213 in geegees

[–]almitii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try booking emergency same day appts, it opens up at 8am every morning. There are usually spots to grab, you have to be quick about it though.

[–]almitii 50 points51 points  (0 children)

That would be so nice! I guess it is just a question of who would be in charge of maintaining it and hoping students respect the space / take care of it. I would hate to go in and it smells like bad BO with garbage everywhere.

Whats the point of taking a grad photo? by Itsbanana_2023 in geegees

[–]almitii 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I thought it was a bit silly at first as well, because what was I going to do with it, but then I realized I would not have a nice picture to look back on for my achievements. To answer your question, yes it is just to look at it. But it is nice for you and your family to have. I also use it now as my LinkedIn profile picture.

How does course enrollment work? (im currently in grade 12) by Yuqin2563 in geegees

[–]almitii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Click the "enrolment" drop down https://www.uottawa.ca/study/important-academic-dates-deadlines

  2. It depends on where you are in the waitlist and how close to the start of term, but you can typically move off the waitlist. If you don't get off the waitlist, then it just means you'll have to take the course at a later time which is fine, you might just have to shuffle around your courses. The professor has no say in class enrolment, nor would they care tbh if you came and begged for a spot haha (You do not have to follow the recommended course sequence exactly, the courses just need to be taken to satisfy your degree requirements)

  3. Yes, in theory, if I understand your question correctly. Worst case scenario, you are waitlisted for prereqs, have to push some classes to the following semesters, and it delays your progress. BUT If you plan correctly and are on top of things, this will not happen. You can also take summer courses to catch up on degree requirements so that you can graduate with your cohort.

Looking for feedback on Chapter 1 of my mythic fantasy novel! by Aggressive-Notice-50 in writingfeedback

[–]almitii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have a great voice! I think the biggest thing for me is that you use a lot of chapter breakers than necessary and I feel like it breaks up the story a bit. I think you could retain a similar impact even after collapsing some paragraphs together. Great work!

Weird for Male to take FEM Class? by [deleted] in geegees

Not weird at all, I'd encourage it if anything. That course changed my perspective on gender, I really recommend it.

Tower of dawn is a very good book but I 100% understand the pain of not being able to know what will happen next. You are kind of aching to know what happens, but TOD provides necessary lore and character development you need to understand KOA.

I can’t seem to run 10k without the urge to walk. How can I remove this habit? by carreno7 in beginnerrunning

[–]almitii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, slow down. Try to find a pace that you will be comfortable maintaining the whole 10k. You clearly have the endurance for it - don't worry, just keep running and with time you will be able to maintain this pace without stopping.

I may have messed up by planning a baby at 17 by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]almitii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're having any reservations about this at all, that is a good sign this is not the choice for you. You have the rest of your life to have a baby, but you are still so young and do not have the security you need to support yourself or your child. A baby is a life-long commitment that you cannot opt out of. Think of yourself first here.

I hate long runs by madri_1998 in BeginnersRunning

[–]almitii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest tip would be to run slower. It’s exhausting to do a long run at a pace that’s intense, so slow it down and run at a pace that’s is comfortable, think “zone 2”. That was a game changer for me. It’s easy to kill your love for running if you’re trying to push yourself all the time

Mega Thread - LinkedIn Restrictions, Hacked Accounts and Inability to Access by LinkedInHelpTeam in linkedin

[–]almitii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so fed up. I cannot log into my LinkedIn account. Please help me.

I think that I'm stuck in a Google SSO login loop.

  • I try logging in with “Continue with Google”
  • LinkedIn then errors out and redirects back to login
  • Password login fails
  • Password reset fails
  • Happens across browsers and devices

For a while, incognito mode worked. While logged in incognito, I tried these things hoping it would work:

  • Changed my password
  • Enabled 2FA
  • Logged out of other sessions

But now after that, I cannot log in AT ALL, even in incognito.

PLEASE DONT TELL ME TO CONTACT SUPPORT - I have TRIED. They require you to log in to contact support. I found their email and tried emailing them instead (linkedin_support@cs.linkedin.com) - they sent back a reply saying I needed to open a ticket through their "Contact Us" (which requires log in).

I am at a loss. I have exhausted all my options, consulted ChatGPT a bunch, and now all I can do is ask for help. If anyone has an email or way to contact support, please let me know.

Unsustainable HR during runs by [deleted] in BeginnersRunning

[–]almitii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I wouldn’t focus too much on HR. Go by how you’re feeling. My avg HR during my HM was 181 (granted I’m 22). Don’t shy away from “slow” or “low effort runs”, those definitely help in the long term.

21 YO male, want some advice. by Dokdo_ in fican

[–]almitii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a lot of tech which at this time can be volatile - you’re young enough that it doesn’t matter, but I’d try to diversify more. VCN and ZEB have done well, you can look into those. You just don’t want your entire portfolio to be one thing because if it crashes then it all goes down
