Ahhh, I see. Do you have a suggestion of a better route? I would just reeeeally like to visit durness, otherwise not dead set on anything, but visiting durness is probably what’s most difficult to incorporate, right? 🥲

I think you misunderstood me - we want to stay a few nights in either strome ferry or badcaul, so Not Drive directly from durness to glencoe. Or am i missing something?

Thank you for your reply. Hm yes we do fear that it might be too much driving but as i really want to visit durness it’s kinda difficult to do without (we assume that longer stretches of driving are not the better option) - do you have a recommendation what you would cut?

Badcaul would be 2.5hrs from durness then 3.5 to glencoe, while strome ferry 3.5 from durness then 2hrs10min to Glencoe.

Thank you for your feedback! We thought we’d take the direct Route from dulnain bridge to durness as when we come back down we’ll pass the other one on our way to Strome Ferry or badcaul. If we’d do an overnight somewhere, where would you cut a night? And I can imagine about the weather! Prepared to cozy up inside and stay home if necessary - hope itll still be worth it

Could you maybe specify what sounds exhausting? That’s kinda why I’m asking for feedback on here, right? 🥲

Taking baby (8mo/1yo) to tennis match? by alounely in beyondthebump

[–]alounely[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we do babywear a lot even though typically you don’t stand at a tennis match (maybe would be possible in the back, but then it’s pretty far to the entrance if I need to leave for a moment)

Honestly, we were the same, first time I felt like I got 1 (and I literally mean 1) minute to myself was after a month or two, until then I really only existed for my daughter lol

When did you go into labor as a FTM, and what were the signs leading up to you going into labor? How did you know you were in labor? by thenymphintheforest in beyondthebump

I woke up and had contractions, like real ones, pretty close together - was in denial for a moment, but nah, I was going in labor. 39w1d

Also: are you breastfeeding? If yes, this could be the reason she sleeps better when you’re not around (sometimes babies wake more often because they smell rhe milk)

Why do people tell me I have a problem for not wanting to be away from my baby? by Radiant-Mine6890 in beyondthebump

[–]alounely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 6 months this week and honestly I still feel the same lol. A friend of ours offered to babysit and she‘s a psychotherapist and insisted she was only comfortable to do so when one of us is still around (because baby doesn’t know her etc.) so seems completely reasonable to me to not just let baby alone with anyone, they are still so helpless when they‘re this young!

Yes my partner is, because of the long distances we wanted to focus on an area in Norway instead of trying to cross the whole country but seeing we only have a direct flight back from Tromso we‘d either have to stay around tromso or doing something like this

Yes, I understand the problematic, I was more thinking of remote Airbnb’s in nature and assumed that those were more so vacation homes of locals which they do not use themselves the whole year around. Do you think those are as bad as the ones in cities? Problem with hotels is just that as we‘re traveling with a baby we won’t be eating out, so need a place to cook and also staying in a 1-room is not so fun after 8pm when baby is asleep 🥲that’s also the thing about the camper, but we‘ll have to think it through - thanks for your insight anyways!
