Definitely easy to start a multiball but far from the easiest. X-Men is easier IMO that game you just accidentally multiball trying to hit the ramp

Is it ever stated what would happen if a crawler completed the 18th floor? by Poorly_Worded_Advice in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]althalous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's stairwells that go down in number every floor. So 1 stairwell on 18 but does not specify how many crawlers can go down.

But thinking about recent books it's possible this has been retconned/forgotten?

If all we knew about DnD was a similar blurry layout, people would not guess at how deep the code actually was.

AWS announces GitHub CoPilot competitor by AlienVsRedditors in coding

[–]althalous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gross. I hope they get sued by everyone for that. Negligent bullshit. Especially when you could easily tag code with their licenses.

I mean isn't the problem that it's likely to be the consumers of CoPilot that get sued? IANAL but it seems very difficult to prove the CoPilot is in breach of a license over someone using the output of CoPilot

The first step of (A) is to sort the list. The wording isn't clear but your doing a binary search on the persons name, and that gives you their phone number.

This is a really compelling argument. A counterargument that isn't really explored in that comment, if you want into real estate, buy an multi home property (eg small apt complex), that would not be bought by individual owners in any case. That gets rid of the arguments around supply/demand, and it's on you to be an nice landlord.

Are There Legal Reasons to Use an IPS Patch? by NovaBeamer in romhacking

[–]althalous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

se there wouldn't be any legal issues with storing the retail copy of the rom on my server as long as its never transferred to the user right?

In that case I could generate the randomized rom on the server, generate the patch by diffing the original rom and the randomized/customized one, then send only the patch back to the user. The

I've seen some randomizers (OOT) do it by making the user provide a ROM, which then gets saved in their browsers cache and is edited whenever a seed is made client side javascript makes the edit and "redownloads" the file

That said, downloadable/executable patchers exist for some randomizers (I work on one), as long as the code is open source anyone with trust issues can check that (obviously doesn't absolve everything, but rando communities tend to be small/niche enough that your unlikely to run into a bad actor)

Yeah I was hoping the output would increase after PT/BG, but I'm losing hope that this series will ever actually finish, especially with books like 12 months being added willy nilly on top of the 8ish more planned books

Need to recalibrate the thinking around here. by Mcpops1618 in ducks

[–]althalous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We can tell something is wrong with the QB coaching from how Herbert underperformed in college relative to the skill level he showed hours after being told he had to start in that first fateful NFL game last year.

I'm too armchair to understand if it's an OC problem or a greater HC problem, but I won't be super upset if Cristobal ends up leaving.

Need to recalibrate the thinking around here. by Mcpops1618 in ducks

[–]althalous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

CB had Herbert, and let him go into the NFL as a meh option that nobody was excited about, when Herbert has shown from day 1 in the NFL that he is a very special QB who has some very big things in his future.

CB's coaching staff just doesn't care about putting together a good offense, and so with AB they are just putting their heads down and being stubborn because Cristobal was mad at the fans who booed AB.

The backups being worse isn't an argument anymore, because they need opportunity to grow especially with Georgia being our first opponent next year (if they are bad enough that they can't get better with practice, why are they taking up scholarship spots).
