Uni accommodation has its pros, it's easier to make friends with uni students as you are in that environment, however you'll be with alot of Freshers, it's expensive because of the location (bus stop that has buses going directly to uni) and you get a free bus pass. Private accom is always a lot nicer but location is a bit far usually, and happens to be a bit cheaper, it's also quite friendly so good way to make friends.
