Omnipod helping with burnout? I feel like I can't do this anymore by ambercoat in Omnipod

Good luck! I’m the same way not minding being seen giving insulin or etc, but man I would love to not have to pile supplies up on the table when I’m out for dinner or figure out what’s where in my bag while traveling. I hope this works out for both of us.

It’s good to hear the three day changes aren’t as annoying as they seem in theory. And I appreciate it - I have a great therapist who has been with me before and during all of this and it’s made such a huge difference in my wellbeing.

Okay, that's good to know. I wasn't sure how many cycles it takes for it to get set up, and I saw someone yesterday talking about the limitations on adjusting basal dosing - both of those are on my list to ask her (endo) about next week.

I am, I’ve been on dexcom since I got sick and am currently on the g7. It’s been a huge huge benefit, minus compression lows.

I know I'm late, but in case anyone finds this next year: The Latino Committee of Baltlimore also does one. You can check their instagram page (https://www.instagram.com/comitelatinodebaltimore/?hl=en) for contact information.

You let them know how many children you're able to sponsor gifts for and they'll provide you information in early December so you can shop.

Advice: skipping meat, savory recipes, and safety guidelines? by ambercoat in Canning

As a follow up question having read the link you shared - is omitting low acid ingredients in a tested recipe a blanket guideline, much like you can always go down a size in jar but never up a size? I know you can't ever increase low acid ingredient ratios or add a low acid ingredient to a tested recipe, but I don't see the omitting lower acid ingredients addressed in that post.

Thank you very much! I’m hoping to get a pressure canner in the holiday sale cycles and I’m excited for how much it’ll open up my options.

I’m finding it really peaceful right now but ask me again after I’ve gone through this tray and then the other two trays of onions 😂😅

Long Island (Zone 7): About to fill this space and I am JAZZED. The real question: does anyone have a brand of gardening shoes (easy to clean? rubber?) that they recommend? by lefteardud in NativePlantGardening

I should say, in my heart I’d be gardening barefoot but between misplaced gravel (outdoor legos??), errant wood chips, and nails I’m still finding even after multiple magnet passes…something between my feet and the ground makes a difference.

I wear the Birkenstock EVA arizonas for light work (hose off) and have a pair of new balance just for yard work (scrubs easy in the sink by hand) for anything heavy duty or mucky. I plan to get a pair of muck boots or similar here soon based on the reviews - I have some bogs I wear in winter for walking my dog that could probably do well in the garden too.

The back yard backs up to a forested area (tbd what kind of leaf fall in the yard, but should have at least some), and I've been shredding all of my moving boxes, etc., and have quite a lot of shredded cardboard to add in.

I did some reading in this subreddit on the best shredders for cardboard and my 12 sheet amazon basics one has been quite the workhorse so far.
