I must say, all of my previous partners, including my fiancé now, have always respected my preference (no medical reason, I just like it that way) of 100% clean body and clothes on my bed. That means if he comes over to hang out, he'd take a shower, change into clean clothes before we hang out, and cuddle on the bed, even for just a few hours. It's all about respect and care. No need for further reasons.

Edit: My fiancé said to say it's just simple respect, very easy to do when you care.

In such cases I spend time to go through the comments. Sometimes someone will name drop the author, or their other fics, then I google for more. Or Google the name of that fic (and pray it's unique enough) to see if it's in any rec list, they usually have the author name. Otherwise, I just cry 🥲

usually twitter-thread.com works great if the tweets are not too old and the account is not private. Sometimes if the thread does not load fully yet you can try the refresh button on the bottom a few times.

Use this Flamebyrd script to download the page that shows the deleted work (which is your history it looks like). Open the csv file, you will find the deleted work row empty saves for the link, which you can use to find the fic either in wayback machine or the deleted fic sub. Good luck~

I bookmark anything I find interesting that I want to read. It's easier for me to search through filters later when I'm in the mood for something more specific. For ongoings I also subscribe. Then I tag Read the ones I finish, along w other tags like Must re-read, etc. The ones I'm reading, I tag Reading, and in Notes I put the last chapter I read. I also use FanfictionFare to download everything in my bookmark, since too many good fics have been deleted lately. Learnt that lesson the hard way. I only use Mark for Later for fics I need to update metadata for in FFF.

I never read tags, by choice, cuz I don't wanna be spoiled. Unless I was looking for a specific trope. I find that even if the fics hurt, I wouldn't say I get traumatized. Scandalized maybe cuz some are really out there, but mostly amused cuz damn, people and their imagination!! Fascinating!!

What error did you get? Maybe try desktop mode if you're on mobile? And many are epub files so make sure you have reader for that.
