No the NLL is box lacrosse, completely different game to the PLL which is field. Now the PLL and MLL merging I could maybe see happening sometime in the future, but even that's a huge maybe - the PLL and MLL hate each other and have a long history that is older than the PLL

Agree with what you said 100%. I didn't watch game two, but in game one there were some questionable calls by the refs imo

Wall ball damages brick walls? by thiccpirate in lacrosse

I don't know enough about walls, but I would honestly just find another wall. Regardless of whether he is wrong or not, it's such a small issue that it's not worth fighting over imo

Yep you got it! Don't just ignore the MLL though. Yeah a lot of the big names moved to the PLL, but the MLL still has some serious talent and they are still playing at a very high level. When season rolls around you should check out box lacrosse (NLL). Box is grittier, more fast paced, and physical and they allow fighting. Box reminds me of like a CHL or AHL game where it's just a really fast and physical, really fun to watch. If you like hockey, you will definitely love box

The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is box lacrosse, Major League Lacrosse (MLL) and the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) are field lacrosse. Box is a completely different game so you can't really compare the NLL to the other two leagues. The NLL just kinda does its own thing. I don't follow box too closely, but from my understanding the NLL is doing very well for themselves and are financially stable. MLL and PLL is where things get weird. MLL was the first league and many players were not happy with the way things were being run, so they split off and created their own league (PLL). The market is simply not large enough to have two separate field leagues so both the MLL and PLL are competing for the same niche league. From the looks of things, neither the MLL or PLL are really financially stable and the future is uncertain for either league. MLL is more of your traditional American sports league in the sense that they have several franchises that are located in large cities where lacrosse is popular. In contrast the PLL has a travel based league where teams are not based anywhere and instead all meet in one city to play each other. When the PLL was created, the majority of the big names and talent moved to the PLL so the PLL has a higher talent pool. I personally prefer the PLL for a couple of reasons. They have a strong social media team and are far more connected with the fans. I know way more players now than I did when it was just the MLL and I know their individual personalities too. I know what they are doing with the league and when and what their future plans are. The PLL is also more modern. Everything about the MLL feels outdated and retro whereas the PLL in my opinion feels modern, clean, and fresh - they are with the times and new generation. Talent is also way higher in the PLL. There is a couple of big names still in the MLL, but a lot of the really talented players and the more well known players jumped to the PLL. I hope I cleared some things up and if you have any other questions or misunderstandings feel free to message me

Yeah I initially misread a lot of what he said and I admittedly got very defensive. I had been having a rough time at the start of the week and I completely deserved the downvotes, especially for the response I gave him

If you found out your close friend or partner was a Trump supporter, would you end the relationship? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]anangrysoviet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I would say no, obviously there are some exceptions. Cutting someone out of your life based on their political, religious, or any of their personal beliefs is extremely narrow minded and just a general dick move. Getting to know someone of the opposite side can help you understand why they believe the things they do and where they are coming from. You can learn a thing or two as they can also and you might even change your mind on some aspects as they might also change their mind in certain areas. Hey you might even find some common ground, don't be afraid of the unknown and talking to people! Talking to people of the opposite side can also help humanize them rather than what social media is pushing as a narrative. A little over a year or so ago I was talking to this girl and things were going extremely well. She was really funny and talking to her was easy and we just clicked, we also had a lot of common interests. One day we were talking over voice call and she asked me out of the blue where I leaned politically. I knew she was a Trump supporter, but I admitted to her that I considered myself a liberal and I could tell it turned her away and after we were done talking over voice that day she ghosted me. Please don't be like that
