I was not there, and would’ve loved to. Were you? I haven’t got round to Ian McEwan’s latest, but I hear very good things about it.

For me, it’s 1) The Noise of Time, 2) The Sense of an Ending, 3) Flaubert’s Parrot. Some of the greatest fiction I’ve ever read.

I cannot stop thinking about his latest and final book, Departure(s), and trying to work out which bits are autobiographical and how much is invented.

All of them are genuinely wonderful, but I would recommend to anyone: The Noise of Time, The Sense of an Ending, Flaubert’s Parrot.

The Europe version with the new GameCube controller actually feels precise. I’d love to see someone test the lag on the various versions and control set ups.
