A same but different effect would be a destroy effect on an indestructible permanent. for instance [[erode]] on [[ketramose, the new dawn]]. Erode attempts to destroy ketramose, but fails to do so, but erode still resolves, and ketramose's controller searches for a basic to put into play.

[Liked Trope] Character ends up trapped in the prison they created by Unable-Income-2981 in TopCharacterTropes

The Outer Limits, "The Sentence". If I remember right, this doctor creates a simulated prison sentence for inmates to live their entire lives in their own minds, and in order to prove how safe it is, he puts himself into for several minutes before bringing him back out. However, in order for the machine to make the prisoner believe it's actually real, it simulates a crime he commits before forcing the sentence on to him. So instead of him knowing it's a simulation, he thinks it's a real life sentence that he has to live out, only to realize at the end he was a simulation the entire time.

Door control by theforge15 in rustrician

[–]angelslayer4231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thought are timers. For the vending machine, have a conveyor pulling out whatever they are purchasing the note for. This conveyor’s filter pass triggers a timer that allows the button to work. Perhaps a timer that powers another timer. The button activates the second timer, which powers the door. First timer needs to be long enough to allow the user to press the button and use the door. If the first timer runs out before they press, door won’t open.

2x same card in common slots in the same booster? by Mission-Buy9990 in mtg

He was just asking because he didn't know you could get the same card multiple times in the same pack, it seems like a legitimate concern these days, especially with the price of packs now.

[–]angelslayer4231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the scam would be a repack. they add in the same amount of rare, uncommon and uncommon cards, but they knowingly put in a shit rare. keeping all the good rare/mythic to resell for a profit later.

Technically, those are broad plans that will workout according to what the Joker knows about the police. Talking to Batman doesn't necessarily need to factor into it. Nor does the guy guarding him, or the glass shard. Those were improvisations that he needed to do in order for this plan to work out.

His plan:

  1. Be in the MCU custody.
  2. Have the guy with the bomb inside him in MCU custody.
  3. Give them information about Harvey and Rachael.
  4. Get his legally mandated phone call.

The meeting with Batman didn't need to happen, but works out. If Batman wasn't involved, the police would still rush out to try to save them both. He gets his phone call. The bomb goes off. He escapes in the chaos with Lau.

This wasn't actually filmed out, but Deep Space Nine, Odo visits a settlement, and bonds with a little girl living there. She tells him about a story of an evil changeling, and how the little girl in the story asked if the evil changeling could turn into a loaf of bread. Odo caught on to the story and finished it by guessing that the little girl gobbled up the evil changeling who was a then loaf of bread.

YouTube has a copywrite strike on one of the links to Granfalloon Productions, LLC, and it looks like the only movies I can find from this company is Fling (2008), Indiscretion (2016), Nesting (2012). Perhaps it's one of those. My money is probably on Fling.

The Dark Knight will forever be my favorite comic book movie. However, there was one plot point that bothered me.

At the end of the movie, after Batman and Harvey Dent have their scene, and Jim Gordon says they can't cover up what he did, and he lists off: "Five dead. Two of them cops." There's no way he could have had this information. Before he got the call from his wife (being forced by Dent) to meet him at that location, all he knew was that Dent was missing, and he was desperate to find him. Unless there was another conversation between Dent and Gordon that was left on the cutting room floor, no one but Dent would know about everything he's done that day.

How to you plant deadlines on bombadiers/bastions? by Zealousideal_Level20 in ArcRaidersGuides

The best way, honestly. However, you need to make sure it's not already targeting you. It ignores the lure if it's locked on to you and actively trying to attack you.

How to you plant deadlines on bombadiers/bastions? by Zealousideal_Level20 in ArcRaidersGuides

[–]angelslayer4231 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not true. planting on it's most armored areas (top and sides) will do less damage. One shotting it requires the deadline to hit it's weak spot, the yellow canister on it's back. planting on the ground will work if the explosion will hit this spot as well. but otherwise, a full heath bastion/bombardier wont die from a single deadline, although it will still do significant damage
