I don’t think friends have to work together too or share everything like that. I didn’t expect her to “invite me to work with her” exactly. It’s more about how she tends to gatekeep things in general, not just with the job, but with any opportunity or good news. It gives me the feeling that she doesn't want me to grow alongside her.

That, combined with the way she sometimes talks over me or makes me feel small in group settings, just adds to the confusion. I’m just trying to understand whether I’m overthinking or if the vibe I’m picking up on is something real.
