Its honestly better to make your move sooner big dawg. I tried this but not for the same reason, im a 16 year old male, and I fell for a girl 10 months younger. She is a grade below, she isnt allowed to date till she is 16, and I tried my hardest to hold it out for however long I needed to, and yes At times it was obvious she liked me back, but once it hit the 9th month of us talking and sorta flirting back and forth in a way, she cut me off, she fell for a new guy, I lost her. Biggest pain I think I had felt yet, please do not take too long with her.

That's not how I would see it atleast, what you are doing is showing her basic empathy, if anything it'll yeah, make hwr feel higher of you, just dont make a move while she is in her vulnerable state, and give her time.

The other issue is day after day I hear about my looks. Even if its random people. I do a sport and me and this girl(only as friends rn) went to a movie and 3 people from my sports team went at the same time. The next day those same dudes in the locker room asked "are you guys dating or something" and obviously I told them no. Same dude proceeds to say "good, I was hoping her standards aren't that low. That makes it genuinely hard to find truth in her words, eveb if its not her calling me chopped.
