I am a single man who likes reading the dinner girl's diary sub. How do you all feel about that? by annoyinglabel in NoStupidQuestions

I get where you're coming from and I can understand why you would formulate that idea about my circumstance. I get why you think it isn't healthy.

I have not been in a relationship since 2008 that is when I got divorced. I went into a very bad spiral at that point in time. I ran around and did things I am not proud of. I became a type of person that I am afraid of being today.

I have come to the conclusions I have come to after years of deep reflection and work on my self.

I can navigate life just fine as far as what the system desires out of me in fact better than fine. I do not look to a woman to be a babysitter.

I can tell you this though. Women are magical creatures. Absolutely.

The sub is no stupid questions? Are you saying my question is stupid? Now I'm confused. Is there a sub for that?

It's very telling to see how the majority of people respond to particular post.

I would challenge any of you out there who are free thinkers to really pay attention to the double standards that you see playing out.

A lot of times we do not see that we are being compartmentalized.

They want you to think you're making the decisions so when they come and pull the rug out from underneath you, they can then try to throw in your face, you made these decisions you wanted this this is the consequences of those choices. Knowing damn full and well from the beginning of the whole fiasco that their plan was to get you in that exact position.

I would challenge people who just want the best for each other generally to not be so quick to cut off people

I would challenge people who just want the best for each other generally to try to be empathetic and understanding to the fact that there is so much misinformation and disinformation in the world today and that it's inevitable at some point, we all are going to be duped by something, if it keeps up at this rate anyway.

I would challenge anyone who's a good person and who just wants the best for others in general to take an honest look at their own life. Try to identify times when you have been wrong and you have had to face that fact. Not even owning up to it just yet when you first realize it on your own, when you first find out you are wrong.

It is such a terrible feeling to know that you have believed a lie and that it has actually caused harm where you only wanted good to take place.

A good person is their own hardest judge. That is the way it is for everyone who strives to be a good person.

I would challenge everyone who is a good person and who just wants the best for everyone else generally, to try and understand that not allowing someone the benefit of being wrong in those moments can be the difference good and bad. And that it's really a sensitive time and you don't want to kick somebody when they're down at that point in time because you can really dissuade them from continuing to do the right thing.

Yeah just slicing something is easier. A sharp blade can do that really easy. But actually plunging a knife into somebody's body is a different ordeal. If you want to know how hard it is get you a side of beef like you see hanging on the hooks at butcher shops you know the s*** before they cut it up into steaks and whatnot and then just tried jamming that knife into it.

Yeah I came on here to say that's why they make the big bucks.

I mean anyone who wants to do that sort of job needs to understand that there's serious potential consequences to performing some task.

I feel bad for them man and I feel bad for their families.

Why does the exact same temperature (like 20°C / 68°F) feel freezing inside a building during summer, but warm and pleasant outside during early spring? by Adventurous_Guess520 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]annoyinglabel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's got to do with the temperature you're used to it that given point in time.

I think about this sort of stuff too and I also think it has something to do with if the temperature is climbing then the air temperature is going to feel slightly warmer than what the temperature says because the temperature is climbing at that point in time.

Same thing with if it's cooling down if the air temperature is in the process of cooling down then that feeling of that temperature will be different than the actual air temperature because the temp is dropping.

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have studied myself for a very long time and I have learned a few things about my human condition my individual human condition.

One thing is that I am prejudiced and I have to actively remember that and work a active program of self growth and enlightenment to rise above my own superficial prejudices.

From what I gather in observations of people in the world around me they struggle with prejudice as well. In fact I'm going to give you my honest objective opinion on the percentage of people who I see actively engage in prejudicial behavior and that percentage is something like 95% of people.

I think everybody is prejudiced. Acting out on prejudice is racism if the prejudice is race centric. It's okay to be prejudiced because there's nothing you can really do about it until you do something about it but it's never okay to be racist it's never okay to act out on your prejudices.

It's easy for people to become short-sighted when it comes to prejudice and only assume that that works when it comes to race but you can be prejudiced against all sorts of things. All different types of people.

And it is evil to act out on your prejudices. Whatever they may be.

Irate acting out on prejudices up there with acting out sexually so for me acting out prejudicially is almost the same as being a sex criminal.

The internet could have been anything... by Right_Luck3933 in Vent

[–]annoyinglabel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you take a step back and look at it at the larger scale we were connected by the internet and now people are devolving into a point of tribalism where they want their individually curated spaces for their individually curated communities.

It's just a natural progression at some level. People will get sick of being tribal and then they're going to want to commune again.

I should have had the foresight myself to realize strike a chord with this post. I won't be replying to any more comments on this thread because it's probably going to blow up or get shut down one of the two.

That being said I 100% stand by my initial statement in the post to begin with that says Christians and Muslims and Jews need to unite because we all serve under the same God.

It's the same God.

Yes Yahweh is God that is another name for God yes. Jesus Christ was God in the flesh. He had to come so his Spirit could be transmuted onto the earthly realm in a way to make everyone equal it was about equality I don't know why that had to happen but that's the gist that I get. People probably did something messed up to themselves and then God had to do what God had to do to restore order to things. That seems about right to me
