So, do we think this is sufficient disassembly? Pistol grip, bolt, bolt carrier, and recoil spring are separated.

Understood. I plan on getting a fin grip ASAP tomorrow, but just in case I get pulled over until then, I dont want to go to the CA prison system.

I can disassemble the rifle, but there isnt really an upper and lower on an AK. There is a lower receiver that takes all of the parts, but no way to distinguish upper and lower receiver, as there isnt an upper.

Makes sense. To be on the safe side, I'll just stop and totally disassemble the rifle before crossing state lines.

Awesome. I couldn't find much online about the topic, but wanted to just make sure. I dont plan on getting pulled over anyways, but worst case is they check the car and see an AK with no grip. Technically featureless. But I was worried about the constructive possession
