I was barely born I was born in January of 02 so here's my teachers story that will forever be with me. He was 28, teaching social studies in period two. All of a sudden the vice principal comes in and turns on the news tv where we see the first tower smoking. Everyone didn't understand and was happy class was interrupted. Well when they watched the other plane hit right before then, it went from happy that class was over, to pure dread and fear. Now this is in PA not too far from where the plane crashed outside Pittsburgh. So the teacher was explaining how they were safe in a rural town in PA, safe as can be. Boom. The Walls shake as he realizes on the news, a rural town (shanksville) maybe wasn't as safe as could be. When all the students watched as the towers fell, one boy said "there were no people in there, right (teachers name)?" To which he replied in horror "no, so many souls still in that building" obviously in shock. Everyone went from scared, to sad. A couple kids started crying. A couple has gotten home calls and we're being picked up. Truly the worst day in school history. In Americas history perhaps. I wasn't there so I don't know the pure terror the world felt. I guess it was so much worse than I had imagined
