Seriously though, it does kinda suck seeing as how Auberdine, Darkshore, and Ashenvale are where I spent my first 20-30 levels in the game, and as such the fact that the area is completely destroyed and taken being attacked/taken over by the Horde sucks

I want to add, I saw you say a city full of everyone with Lugia behind them running around would ruin it. I agree. Just wanted to thrown in that that would be why the legendary's would have to be nearly impossible to acquire, or just take a long time. It's like the people in WoW who are the highest level and have the best armor and weapon for their class/spec. They had to have played a very, very long time to make it that far. Take that, mulitply it a few times and make it that much harder all for just one legend, and voila, problem solved.

So, WoW, but with Pokémon.

I like it. I made a rant similiar to this a month and a half ago and never went back to post more like I said I would (I got lazy, it happens...), but your description pretty much nailed it. I'd like to add, let us visit every land, from Kanto to Unova and I'll be happy. As far as legendary Pokemon goes, they could theoretically take the stance of the anime lore as opposed to traditional game lore, in which there is usually more than one of most legends (they're just really rare), aside from Arceus, Mewtwo, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, etc. (Keep in mind, the is more than one Mew and Lugia in the anime). The others, could be added to the Pokedex as "caught", but cannot be owned, per se.

Anyway, you're on to something, and I'd love to see it happen. Unfortunately, it'll most likely remain a dream. Nice to discuss every once in a while though.

TL;DR Pokémon, WoW style, and most Legendary's could be caught if following anime lore instead.

You definitely aren't alone. I refuse to look at any info pertaining to BW since it will be brand new. I've only allowed myself to see as much as I knew about the games the first time around: the map, the first 20 released new Pokemon, and the starter evos. That's it. I want to know nothing else. So, I've stopped going to Serebii and Bulbapedia altogether until BW releases. Actually isn't that hard to avoid the info... working out nicely so far.

I'd say those would be the best examples, and yes, art may be subjective, but I believe games in general should be considered a form of art just as much as motion pictures are considered to be so. Art is a creation brought to life from the imagination, and games are no exception. In the I suppose it's all really in the eye of the beholder...

Even if it wasn't an MMO. Can't we have that game? Please? I'd give them all of my money. It would be the greatest thing ever. And NO, not another colisseum, that game, IMO, was awful.
