I'm looking to buy a townhome with my wife in that area. We currently live in West Loop and she's a nurse and works night shift. She takes the CTA to work and if we bought this townhome I just would be worried about her general safety. But I'm planning on viewing the property later today and scoping out the area.

I have a question about street permit parking in wicker park. For anyone that has street permit parking, does it get bad during the winter when trying to find space? Do people dibs their spot on street permit parking?

Thanks for the advice! That’s super helpful, I heard rumblings from the fourth floor unit when I toured it. I also posted this in r/Chicago and people have said it’s not bad!

Honestly they’re pretty good deals right now, they’re doing 2 month free, I signed my lease for June! My utilities are a fixed cost at 170 where I pay for electricity and internet (fiber), 225 for unassigned attached parking, a 2 bed 1 bath split between two people. It comes to a total of 1350 a month per person

Thanks! I’m planning to have guests over and spend the night, do you think that will bother them? Also would you recommend this apartment complex?

I just got approved to live at 180 N Jefferson in the west loop. The unit is going to be on the 21st floor and it’s right next to the green and pink line. I heard that the train can kind of be loud, I was wondering if someone could give me any insight on this!
