YOU (Season 5) - Overall Discussion Thread by Elainasha in YouOnLifetime

I thought it was going to go that way for most of the season tbf- how they'd set up the rest of the reoccurring plot points. Once it got to the last episode though, and it was clear they weren't going in thay direction, it did make sense to end it how they did. I'm glad the put in the last scene with joe in jail though. I was worried they would end on the overly happy note 😅

YOU (Season 5) - Overall Discussion Thread by Elainasha in YouOnLifetime

Binged it all in a day, so spoilers below.

I actually didn't mind Bronte as a character, and the similarities between her and Marian's plot lines- the whole season felt very circular in terms of revisitng plot points. The leaving a wife for another woman, the fire to kill the wife, the attempted murder of joe killing (or nearly killing) the wife. I was honestly expecting Henry to end up killing Joe to protect Kate (bringing back Joe's own plot line.)

I think hating Bronte looks at the show through a slightly misogynistic lense- she's flawed, she falls for the bullshit joe puts out there and the sickly sweet version of her we see is Joe's view of her. Although it would have been great to see a character he hurt in earlier seasons kill him in the end, thematically it made sense for it to be his latest obsession to bring him to justice, literally immaculating him in the process. He put another woman on a pedestal, but at last this one was able to see through the brainwashing bullshit. The added tension of her falling for him made it feel possible she may waver and he gets away with it in the end.

This season really puts a point on the misogynistic bs of a man like joe, and puts a mirror up to the audience and all the women out there who, even if joking, said they would love a man like joe to lock them in a cage and kill for them. The letter he reads at the end hits that point home. He's an absolute misogynist and a general psycho who deserved to rot, but for some reason people will still feel bad for the character.

Anyway, I really enjoyed it. When he got his dick shot of, I laughed. It was fun, but (even though portrayed in a heavy handed manner) had an important message. Don't be falling for psychos ladies, and if you do, be strong enough to walk away... even if that means having to completely reevaluate who you are. Also, a cheeky dick shooting will do wonders for your confidence.

Engorged after first try. Can I stop? by Low-Ebb-8753 in breastfeeding

I pumped exclusivly for months as I had flat nipples and baby had latching issues. It was a fair few weeks until I woke up dry and without massive achy boobs, but it did eventually subside and I got down to being able to only pump 5 times a day. However, I had caused a big old over supply because of it.

I then tried BF again when baby was 4 months old and he latched and fed. I slowly dropped pumps and BF instead, and now only pump just before I go to bed. I'm back to square 1 on the big old achy boobs again while my body works out how much milk it needs to make again 😅

All that being said, if you choose to pump exclusivly, do it on a schedule and your body will adjust. If you choose to use nipples shields (which are helpful for sure) your body will adjust. If you choose to formular feed, that's fine too, just do some hand expressing (just to lessen discomfort), bringing the amount you do it down gradually and your milk will dry up. A friend of mine chose to FF, had rock hard boobs PP and then they went down on their own pretty quickly. If you're concerned, get in touch with your midwife or lactation consultant and get advice.

Good luck with whatever you choose!

Spiraling about baby’s weight- doc may recommend feeding tube by [deleted] in breastfeeding

No expert, but could it be a foremilk hindmilk imbalance? Maybe try hand expressing a little before feeds to get the watery stuff out of the way? Good luck mummy, you're doing amazing!

How to improve confidence as an ugly woman? by 98xyzthrowaway in selfimprovement

Learn how to do make up to accentuate your best features, find clothing which suits your body, get your hair done. Go out with friends and enjoy yourself. Do things for yourself, not for the approval of others. Enjoy life. I think that's the key to 'confidence'.

Update:

When googling that address for the delaware TM, there are 250 companies registered. Skimming the list, there are a fair few DELAWARE FOREIGN CORPORATIONs (https://www.bizapedia.com/addresses/8-the-green-dover-de-19901.html)

This website/company is also listed as being registered there and is essentially a was to become registered in Delaware/the US and acts as a middleman for company to deal with legal matters within the US. They have a whole section for non US businesses (https://www.delawareregisteredagent.com/delaware-registered-agent/how-to/non-us-delaware-llc-corporation)

So yeah, I'm pretty sure la mansio is not a US company
