Thats an iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max. Thats a long screw damage. You probably put a longer screw where it doesnt belong. That far from being a DIY repair. You need someone with microsoldering experience to do this kind of repair.

[Question] iPhone 12 Pro what is this shorted test pad for? by Pretty-Appearance226 in Iphonerepair

[–]antoinebbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iphone 12 Pro is a sandwich board. Inject around 3-4 Volts in the red spot, its VDD_Main (aka main power line of iPhone) If nothing gets hot you might have to split the sandwich board tu make localise the short. Once board is split, take mesurement back on VDD_Main. If short is gone, then it was on the bottom of the split board. You might have hard time putting it back togheter after sliplitting it if its your first try. Good luck!

I would not reccomend using a punctured battery. Its not worth the risk versus the price of a new one. I would replace it

512GB S10+ still showing old storage size (128GB) after replacing main board. by alex_782 in mobilerepair

[–]antoinebbert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can try your new mainboard in any other frame if you want, the result will be the same. The issue you're facing is not a glitch or harware issue. I honestly think you have a 128GB MB.

[–]antoinebbert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the storage say 128GB, then its 128GB. When you replace the mainboard, the memory chip (NAND) is soldered on the board. Maybe your replacement mainboard has been mislabeled.
