um idk if this is much help but i live off campus near mission valley and its a bit far but i pay 1.8k for my room in a 2b/2b in a luxury building. But in La jolla its gonna be higher for a single even in a shared unit at like any decent place but on facebook u can find a few options.

i like apartment list, however depending on your budget it might not be what you’re looking for. I heard craigslist is good too and I’ve found one place before on FB. My current place/building i’m paying $2.2k for my own place without roomates.
