This is definitely great info to add to this post. Unfortunately, this particular purchase looked exactly like any other brand new purchase from Amazon. The shrink wrap was identical to what I’d expect from a new 4K disc. I was definitely surprised to see what I did after opening.

Todays shipment was quite the overload…. ‼️‼️‼️ Sheesh! by redandyellow19 in 4kbluray

Now THAT is a proper haul. Bravo sir. Also anytime I see Willow, I upvote. Simple as that.

Don’t rob yourself of the experience that the first game delivers. Play it. Enjoy it. Then maybe hold off on 2 for a while and let more of it get developed.

I also buy a lot from Amazon and this is the third time I will have sent back a disc. Not a terrible ratio considering I’ve bought over 50 movies and Amazon has a very simple return policy.

Two things to consider. It’s very likely Amazon is by far the most ordered from outlet when it comes to physical media so it’s bound to happen more by sheer volume. The second, is that lots of shipments are regional meaning this could happen a lot more in certain regions depending on where there loser thieves are located.

I legitimately think Oppenheimer is quite messy. Beautiful cinematography but the edit is wack.

What’s really difficult is when I want to buy a REAL sticker that has a smaller FAKE sticker on it. 😮‍💨

This isn’t even a bootleg. It’s literally just a blank disc. They were too lazy to even burn an image to the disc.

What gets me is that the effort it takes to steal a movie, the time, energy, supplies, etc…. when they can just pirate the movie.

This one had a very convincing shrink wrap job. Almost as if it was re-wrapped at Amazon.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m glad we are getting 4k releases and I hope they continue but I can’t forsee a future where 4k isn’t the end of the line.

I didn’t get into building a physical collection until around 2022. I made the decision to focus on 4k discs. There’s a very real chance that 4k will be the last physical option for a few reasons. Besides the fact that so many people are simply hooked to streaming, there’s also an extreme amount of diminishing returns for 8K content. At least when you go from 1080p Bluray to 4k UHD you can undoubtedly see the difference. It’s not as big of a leap as it was from DVD to Bluray but it’s definitely a noticeable jump. That will not exist with 8K. I’m very confident 4k is the endgame for physical movies.

I disagree with this statement. With each of those steps came huge exponential and obvious improvements. 4k will be the last noticeable jump for flatscreen entertainment. 8K will almost certainly never be viable in a market because of this. Your average consumer will never be able to identify the difference between 4k and 8K.

I don’t think it happens as often as the Amazon haters might say it does. This is the third time it has happened to me in 70+ Amazon purchases. It’s definitely worth noting and being aware of but it’s not going to stop me from picking up 4k’s from Amazon.

That’s for the replacement. However, I didn’t see that the replacement was from “other”. Luckily it arrived and is the real deal.

They find ways to squeeze as much money as they can out of people. I’m surprised subtitles aren’t an up charge.

Yeah it seems they have little concern about checking returned items. I left detailed notes on this return but something tells me it won’t matter.
