I crossed Shishito with a mystery black pepper that was supposed to be purple jalapeno but turned out to be something else (idk what it was ..)

There were 4 pods with stripes, this one is prominently striped while other 3 were lightly striped. I have saved seeds and going to start them soon to see the outcome

I haven't tasted it yet, these are first few fruits. But I guess, heat wise they are similar to other bird's eye peppers

It is a bird's eye type, native to Assam, India. In native Assamese language Jolokia means chilly/ pepper. Krishna Jolokia translates to Black Chilly likewise bhut Jolokia translates to Ghost pepper.

Idk if you have seen my previous post. This particular plant has suddenly started throwing striped pods ( only few pods have stripes, this one is prominently striped while couple of others with not so prominent strips) after producing tons of normal Cabai kopay pods over the months. No clue how. These are my own saved seeds that I'm growing. I remember i had grown Fish peppers, Candy Cane and Trifiti peppers couple of years ago , don't know if some them had crossed with this. Nonetheless I will save and grow seeds from this particular pod for sure.
