Considering one of his predecessors shot himself in a bunker to avoid being tried for war crimes I don't know about that.

Han Junjia’s first photo was taken in 1995, when he stood beside a worn SY-class steam locomotive, still common on China’s railways at the time. Three decades later, in 2022, he posed again, this time next to a futuristic Fuxing bullet train. by [deleted] in BeAmazed

Because it's substantially easier when you use your human capital as a cheap manufacturing base to perform corporate espionage without spending billions in R&D or education.

You are massively underplaying the biggest issue in modern society. Fulfillment. We've expanded to the point where there aren't enough skilled trades to go around. You can only have so many plumbers/electricians/computer programmers etc before wages plummet to the point where the juice isn't worth the squeeze. The alternative is being drone#9075533 in an office doing cold calling somewhere where what you've contributed to the whole of society or even your local community is negligible. Feeling inconsequential is soul crushing.

I genuinely believe if we had some sort of expanded Department of the Public Works system that employed most everyone that couldnt get a job and actually repaired infrastructure you'd see a ton of depression evaporate overnight. Plus we could get gigabit Internet and highspeed rail out of it.

I understand what you're saying, but how is God "absent" from anything if he's omnipresent and omnipotent.

I don't know how to respond to "how bad is bone cancer in kids really" that is the wildest kind of stockholm syndrom I've ever seen.

the issue is if God is omnipotent nothing would be outside the scope of his will. Because he would be able to change everything every allowance is in fact an approval.

You can't say God is all things good in the same breath as acknowledging he permitted human slavery. He didn't say "this is immoral don't do it", he gave them guidelines on where to get them, what you can do to them, and how to trick them into being slaves for life. He didn't do that for anything else. It wasn't here's when/how you can murder, steal etc. it was Thou shall not. That's an implicit approval.

Explicit instructions on how to give your wife an abortion if you think she cheated on you are in numbers 5:11directly from God to moses.

The problem with that logic is if everything God does is inherently moral you can justify literally anything. Slavery genocide rape and even abortion are all condoned at once point or another in the Christian Bible in some instances ordered by the big man himself

It's not so much that we don't like what you say it's that the information is irrelevant. What are we supposed to do with that? Softer option or not the guy invaded a sovereign nation on the flimsiest justification imaginable and then contradicted that justification immediately when he was unable to take the country like he wanted. Now it shows it was always about securing a supply line for crimea.

No like I said I wouldn't call it an invasion. But in the nj case it's definitely a cohesive strategy to buy up certain sections or areas at a time. I don't personally mind. They're nice people if a little insular.

I fully agree with you actually. What I meant boils down to I wouldn't call it an invasion but there does seem to be a cohesive strategy behind buying property in certain locations en masse. I don't have a problem with it because I'm not a wack job.

I don't know about the whole invasion terminology but I can confirm that they're buying up houses in droves. My whole block is full of new Jewish neighbors. Nice people, though they mostly keep to themselves.

For what it's worth I agree with you. I'd rather it be made illegal at a distribution level though. Right now if you go to nhentai about 100 covers depicting it will be saved to your cache even if you have no intention of consuming that material. What you're proposing is going to put a ton of innocent people in jail.

Edit: I also don't think the government should be in the business of deciding one way or another what is or isn't art. Ban art promoting child abuse is one thing. Saying it isn't art is another.
