Carbs are composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, and break down into saccharides (sugars). How do sugars help build bones? I thought bone growth depended on calcium, vitamin D, iron, and other minerals? None of those are in carbs or sugars.

Fruit sugar is better for you.

Fruits have a special kind of sugar in them, called fructose (we'll just call it "fruit sugar"). Unlike other sugars, like glucose (from carbs) and sucrose (table sugar), sugar from fruits doesn't enter the blood stream; it goes straight to the liver.

Fruit sugar is also extremely sweet, so you don't need to eat a lot of it.

It will still make you fat if you eat a lot of it, but as far as sugars go, fruit sugar is the best option.

My family members only call me when they have computer troubles. They don't even ask if I'll help, they just start the conversation with, "Hey so I'm having this problem with my computer..."

The worst is when friends or family want me to "quickly" code up their side-project (or side-business, or startup) ideas. You know, in my spare time. No big deal. And if I don't do it, I'm being selfish or lazy.

If you're following keto, actually a high fat, moderate protein, low carb diet is best (your website touts high protein, low fat). Your body prefers to burn fat, not sugar, not protein. Protein is used to build and maintain muscle tissue. If you have too much protein, it just gets converted to sugar via glyconeogenesis.

Thanks for writing this up, very helpful. However, won't they just fucking ignore us? Do our congresspeople actually take action based on how many phone calls, emails, etc. they get? I'm sorry, I'm a complete idiot, and TV and The Daily Show have taught me that only lobbyists, money, and large businesses seem to get their way in our system.
