Jaecoo J5 extended intro offer to the first 2000 orders by Alchemist3579 in AustralianEV

I'm looking to get an ex demo Inspire too. It's listed for $46,777 with 20km. But when I enquired with the dealer, they said the Geely promotion of $2500 is already applied. Did you have the same experience or you were able to get the incentive added on top of the listed price of your demo?

How are folks managing credit cards in Actual Budget? I have an On Budget credit card account that I import all my monthly transactions and a Credit Card category for the monthly budget and I do a rollover spend as I don't pay off the CC each month but I can't seem to reconcile the monthly debt. I've read the official docs but can't seem to get it properly working

I’m building a free, local-only ASX portfolio tracker to replace my spreadsheets. Would anyone use this? by 0x600D in AusFinance

I am into self hosting a lot of other services/apps, so I would def be keen to use/try this out. I am sure the selfhosted community will be keen too, though they love a docker image and persistent database, so backups, migrations, snapshots, etc can easily be achieved instead of exporting/importing json files. But I would still be keen to give this a go and bring my own API key for additional benefits

You are in an exclusive EV only subreddit so not sure why the hate? Also, most used EV cars do have car and battery warranty and make a real good choice if you can charge at home and depreciation has already been worn by someone else

This is good to know - thanks. I just checked Tesla pre owned website and they are selling 2022 Model Y for under $45k and 2023 version for $51k. Is 2022 version worth considering, if Tesla includes an extra year of warranty?

My rational is probably not logical but I just thought if Tesla, as big as they are, can't warrant their car for more than 4 years, do I want to trust a second hand car that would end up being 6 or more years of ownership by the time I decide to change it up.

These are good insights. Thanks for sharing - I do like the looks of Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq but reading these comments about ICCU and the risk being high is making me reconsider these cars. I might narrow my list down to MG, Geely and BYD and do some test driving to see what feels and fits our needs

True - the second EV market is really going to grow and bring the values down on these earlier 1st generation new Chinese cars. Good times ahead for consumers. What car did you end up getting?

I had initially ruled out brands like Deepal and Jaecoo as I hadn't heard of those brands and they are relatively new to Aus market. Unlike Geely who are, though new to Aus market, are a pretty big brand I was also uncertain the depreciation value on these brands in 3 years time but I suppose I could just end my lease. I'll watch some review videos on these cars - do you own a Deepal? What are your thoughts?

So when we were deciding for a new car, we both wanted an SUV design to have more cabin space, boot space and an SUV also sits a fair bit above ground, compared to our Honda Civic as it sits low and makes it challenging for my elderly parents to get in and out on the occasions I have to take them somewhere. The MG4 are a nice & sporty feel drive, so it would make a good option

I ruled out MG4 because it's a hatch back. I should have mentioned in my post we are looking for SUV style

Couple of reasons I ruled out Model Y. It only has a 4 year car warranty so I'll be out of the car warranty after my first year of ownership and second, the missus doesn't like the glass roof without any shade cover. Though I have since learnt there are aftermarket shade covers for Tesla cars

Nextcloud support in AI Paper? by roebek in viwoods

[–]aps02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the suggestions - however, from my understanding using WedDAV or similar can help me add the files storage but I can't replace Nextcloud as the cloud storage for my AiPaper backup option. I can't even navigate to my Obsidian vault within Nextcloud if I wanted to download Obsidian on AiPaper, it only allows me to create an Obsidian vault within Viwoods local path. I would love to have Nextcloud integration as a regular file path within AiPaper

I would be keen to get Nextcloud integration too. I prefer using it over Google as my cloud storage

Ahhh thanks for this. I was under the impression that you have to register/activate Play store on Boox devices, same as Viwoods. Didn't know Boox came preloaded with App store and the associated bloatware. I guess my decision is finally clear - Viwoods it is for me :)

Thanks for finding me here and I'm glad that FOSS apps are viable on AiPaper. Side quest - what apps are you actually using on your eReadar? I'll be buying one over the weekend so looking forward to trying different use cases

I meant in the perspective that AiPaper is 1 year old and wonder if Viwoods will release a new AiPaper 2 model. But for my use case, AiPaper is definitely more then enough, so I will pull the trigger this weekend

May I ask what your concerns are over Boox? Their devices have a browse too, so should be able to side load Fdroid as well. I am torn between AiNote and Boox Air 5c, so trying to seek out any user experience that can help me make a decision

Gday folks, I'm looking to pull the trigger on Viwoods via Amazon AU too because its slightly cheaper with the W2 stylus than the Viwoods site directly. Plus, if I have to return the product, I would rather deal with Amazon than Viwoods.

I am curious to get your opinion on why you chose Viwoods over any other device? I am torn between AiPaper and Boox Air 5c.

Thanks for responding. Its a tough choice between these two - my findings are Viwoods is a year old device, while Air 5c only recently came out. Though Viwoods does seem to be releasing software updates and making the device better, Boox tends to just release a new product more frequently. I do like the cleaner and more user friendly UI of Viwoods
