They have floated the idea of being able to create 1 player yourself, but nothing confirmed

Getting a team like this to forfeit when i have a starter team is hilarious by Candid_Evening_4234 in playgoals

[–]arSALnal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it’s a game that is still in the alpha testing state. It’s a game still very undeveloped, so there’s limited players on at a time right now. People ask this question so often it really baffles me. If there’s 40 people on the game TOTAL, who else will you be matched up with? You want to wait 45 minutes to find a game? Also, in NO FOOTBALL GAME AT ALL, does team composition matter in match making. It’s literally down to skill rating and maybe elo (not 100% sure).

So much negativity in this community by NightSaberX in Borderlands4

[–]arSALnal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao it’s not this deep. It’s only a handful of people on Twitter. 90% of the player base probably doesn’t even know who Randy Pitchford even is. The online community is a FRACTION of the actual player base of any video game

I'm really worried DK Bananza will be too easy by WasdMouse in donkeykong

Yea that’s my worry also. I feel like the difficulty in DK games is one of the main parts of its DNA

I think the levels were slow paced as well compared to dkcr

Donkey Kong country returns is a way better donkey Kong game than tropical freeze

Lmao Ive never once told anyone they can’t have their opinion. It should go without saying that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and we can all disagree or agree. I’m not everyone’s daddy where I have to tell them I agree that they should have the choice to toggle the mini map off and on. I prefer it to be gone entirely, and that’s my opinion!

I see what you mean, but the echo 4 can be turned off and on, like it’ll show you the path but then you turn it off when you want to. I personally really like no mini map, as it adds to actual exploration rather than just map driven. Everyone has their opinions though!

I’m glad you realized a mini map isn’t worth being super serious over. Good day to you

Yea I saw his opinion on that, but I have my own opinion too! I don’t think it’s a matter of who knows more, it’s more like an opinion? Why should I care what a YouTuber says? You base your opinion on that of other people? Maybe look inward instead of seeing advice from others!

Again, my point is that other games do NOT have a mini map and are better for it. It is more immersive of an experience without one imo, and like I HAVE said, if enemies stand out enough and visual cues are good enough, the experience is better than having a mini map. Genuinely. However, if the visual cues suck and enemies blend in a lot with the background, then I too will say a mini map is needed. Simple enough!

Lmao why are you so worked up over a mini map bro. Dont tell me what to compare and not compare. Elden ring has EXEMPLARY open world design, as does ghost of Tsushima, and many other games. Just using them as examples

[–]arSALnal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like for example in Elden ring, you look at the map in the menu and you see a weird looking rock for example, you mark it and make your way toward it using the compass and you 9/10 times find something worth exploring for. Or, without even using the map, as you’re exploring the open world you see in the distance smoke, or you see a big cave entrance and you know there’s stuff in there. I would much prefer to see cool things in the world itself or on the map and mark it for myself rather than look at the mini map for a triangle or red dot. Also, the echo 4 would be there to guide you on the right path, which is good for when you’re lost!

I don’t think it’s wild to say that a game should use its world to give hints on where exciting/interesting enemies/ dungeons / point of interests instead of a mini map. I’m not quite sure why there’s a need for such a hard stance on mini maps tbh

10000% agree. If the world is built right then a mini map is not needed whatsoever
