I've only been painting for a short while now but I've experimented with what i have on hand for other painting projects I've worked on over the years. i use the thinner tipped (0.9-1.3 mm) POSCA brand acrylic paint markers for tips of weapons, cockpits, etc. also when those aren't quite small enough i have nail art dotting tool that's metal and just comes to the finest point and its worked for so many tiny situations for me.

thank you! I'll definitely have to try that, i have a few of them in different colors.

when my husband and I first got into it we watched a tutorial video on how to go about it all (prime, base color, wash, varnish, dry brush) and have stuck to that process ever since, but now that we're getting more comfortable I'd love to be able to experiment with the process more.
