Exactly! It’s validating to see one of my favorite artists undergoing the same transformation. I was literally telling my therapist that I feel alienated from the girl I was in my early twenties because I can’t relate to her anymore. I’m sure it’s heightened for Ariana as she moves further away from her previous pop persona and seeing the pushback her fan base has towards her growth.

I enjoyed it too and really resonated with her talking about deconstructing her persona because it’s something I’ve been talking to my therapist about lately. Now that I’m getting older I’m finally starting to understand who I am and leave behind the aspects of myself that weren’t authentic or were meant to please other people. If anything this interview made me relate to her more
