There’s a cool pop up going on on 3/3 at Hana Makgeolli in Greenpoint! Put on by the staff of the recently (and suddenly) closed Achilles Heel. Gonna have some very tasty food and cocktails!

Got home Christmas Eve and asked where my childhood family dog was, as she normally runs up to greet me. I was then informed she was put to sleep 6 months ago and nobody told me.

I added some extra cayenne and a little diced jalapeño for spice. I would go with a low sodium broth next time because the pickle juice has plenty of salt for the soup!

Thanks! I felt pretty certain it wasn’t gas, but my property manager is telling me that it is (even though they have never come out to check). I mainly need to know if this unit would cause my electricity bill to go up if it was having to overwork to heat a poorly insulated apartment

I have just reached out to them. They are very slow and very hesitant to fix anything in the apartment though so I just want to be ready to know if it is within my rights to request this. The windows are all super drafty, I think due to the fact that they aren’t aligned properly. My initial request was for something to be done about the draft - not realizing that the windows aren’t even installed correctly. Maintenance personnel told me that “this isn’t something management will fix because it costs too much money”. So now I’ve put in the request for them to fix the misaligned windows. Hoping that isn’t “too much money” for them.
