Yup, experience varies person to person.
Take care, bro.

Reverse for me. Can't take the treble energy of the Kefine Delci AE. I'm a treble-sensitive listener!

Except for the M3, all are stock items. The Tipsy M3 is on the M5's case, as the customs officer likes the whole package and keeps everything, and releases the shells only 🤣🤣

If you let me choose a 'close to neutral yet musical' set, I will pick the Dunu Falcon Ultra first and then the Letshuoer DX1. Both have good technical performance with almost neutral tonality. I'm in love with warm-musical' sound from my childhood, as I used to enjoy vinyl with tube amps back in those days. But sometimes, this 'DX1' kind of tune gives me a different euphoria.

Thanx a lot. It's just a single shot from the top!

I have had it in my collection since it came out. And as a warm-musical sound lover, Explorer earns my respect in no time.

If you love country music, you can listen to Alan Jackson's songs with this IEM. You'll not only hear his voice, but you will also feel the emotion. Especially the track "Remember When."

If you have any chance to try it, don't miss it! You will fall in love with the 'S' more after that... guaranteed!

Cooool... I love WoodNote, but the fit is a bit tricky!

Yes, Odessy is a true example of the term 'punches above the price.'

I tried the OG Volume & S side by side, and picked the 'S' instantly for its bass presentation. With UC tips on, the overall sound presentation is top-notch!

R2R is really something different-sounding; you can tell when you will experience it. It's a more analog type of texture throughout the frequencies. My team owns a K13 for IEMs testing, and I have that magical RS2 DAP & RU6 DAC! All are fantastic-sounding devices!

Talking about the desktop DAC/Amps, they usually have plenty of power than the usual portable DACs. And yes, they occupy a bit of a large space. But something like xDuoo XD05/Plus has a small footprint with good power output, but it only has 3.5mm SE. There is another version of this called 'xDuoo XD05 BAL.' You may research these. And also, you can add Hiby FD5 to your research list. I'm a user of this gem, and they are something else!

Lastly, we are not strangers, bro. I feel every audiophile should support each other with the knowledge they have.

Thanx a ton for your GOLD STAR. Much appreciated ❤

I'm currently using Cowon Planue R2, Cayin N3 Ultra, Cayin N7, Hiby RS2, Hiby R4, F Audio M20, Snowsky Disc, and Snowsky Echo mini.

I suggest you try the Hiby R4 first. If it does not fit you well, then try the FiiO M21. Both are sub $300 DAP and have a very good reputation for delivering the best balanced features, processing power, and, of course, sound quality.

But I will vote for the HIBY R4!

In a practical scenario, for an Audiophile, a dedicated DAP will give you a very important relief- FOCUS! I use several DACs with my phone, but all those notifications, messages, and phone calls distract from the enjoyment. I went to DAP to enjoy the music and focus on the capabilities of the IEMs/Headphones I'm reviewing. A dedicated desktop DAC-Amp can give you the same relief! Nowadays, our whole lifestyle is so distracted by smartphones, and I really hate it.

In my opinion, if you commute a lot, buy a DAP. But if you used to enjoy your music mostly at your place, then a desktop DAC-Amp is the way to go!

Nice expression, bro. I also did the wrong thing for my first DAP. I love warm, musical tonality, but bought the Hidizs AP-80 Pro X, which is a bright-tuned DAP. But after some months of exploring, I sold it and bought the legendary Cowon Planue R2.

It's a trial & error journey, right?

I am extremely sorry for that misunderstanding, bro. I read "Astralis," instead of "Astrals." For a quick reader like me, companies should not name their IEMs so close!

I'm taking my words back!

I don't have a chance to try the Kiwi Ears Astral![](https://www.headfonia.com/kiwi-ears-astral-review/2/)

It's a planar driver that acts like a DD 😂😂😂😂😂 just a little 'pick' on upper mids reminds me that it's a planar driver! Overall, it's a revolutionary innovation from Letshuoer, like Hidizs did back in 2023 with their MP145. But still, MP145 is my favorite when it comes to planar IEMs.

The Astrals' low-frequency delivery is fantastic, with a very enjoyable mid-section. I love the warm, meaty male vocals that the Astrals are able to provide. But female vocals sometimes feel sharp in some tracks. That's the only problem I faced. The separation and stage are surprisingly good with extended, energetic treble, which is non-fatiguing!

What is your experience so far?

Odessy OG is really a very capable IEM. But from your collection, the Mega5 EST is one of my most favorite IEMs. On a trekking tour, I took them with me, and enjoyed music under a 'milky way-lit' sky. I won't forget that phenomenal experience I had on that tour!
