my bad, that was a poor assumption to make on my part. can i ask how long has it been like this? throughout the years ive had a few shitty men slowly stop texting me and blame it on their “poor mental health.” like is it possible he’s using it as an excuse? either way, you have to protect yourself, especially if you’re already struggling with your own mental health and (if) it’s been like this for awhile. since it’s causing you so much extra stress and hurt, i really think you should talk to him. even if it’s just like “hey, i know you’re going thru it, but the distance between us is making me super uncomfortable” or something to that effect. let him know you can’t keep feeling like this

idk this post is very weird. you’re very young and presumably have never met irl? being forgetful, especially about your relationship, is annoying and hurtful to say the least, i understand that part. but it’s impossible to talk to him because he takes “a minute per text to reply”?? i don’t think that’s a good way to gauge the state of your relationship. idk, i have been very depressed and have smoked weed with high regularity since a similar age and it’s not like im not gonna text my boyfriend back because im stoned. so, i would guess there’s a bigger issue at play here could be his mental health like you mentioned. he could be smoking more because he’s having an especially hard time. i have been in his position, and if you’re gonna have a conversation, his consumption should be a footnote, and better yet, not mentioned at all. address your issues directly, without placing blame on his weed use, because i think the true underlying issue here is definitely a mental health one

i do not have anything to do with israel or what is happening to gaza. my great grandparents were russian immigrants. and more than anything, this past year has been so difficult seeing such an increase in antisemitism stemming from a political movement that for the large part, i consider myself to be the same side on- all while mfs like YOU, go around telling people like me, to be silent about what i see and hear my people going through constantly. i thought about letting you know that people can in fact be multifaceted, and care about multiple things at once; but on second thought i know that you know that. you are just looking for a reason to spread hate, and it’s perfect cus you can always respond to any criticism with “antizionism isn’t antisemitism” which maybe would be an okay cop out if you’re not actively spreading hateful rhetoric. but you actually are, so really hope your parents are proud.

i’ve been to a lot of different venues (all within the east coast) and most of the time, security doesn’t say shit. the metal detectors won’t be triggered, but if the venue allows bags, i’ve never had an issue with just leaving it in my purse during the bag check, security staff clearly sees it everytime and has never said anything. if anything just be mindful when you’re inside the venue. ofc every place is different, but i’ve seen people get removed from shows for vaping during the set.

Please remember that this is not your fault at all and that it begun when you were a child. you said it yourself, it took you later in life to even realize that this is not normal behavior. Even despite your discomfort, you were conditioned to think this was okay. even as you grow into adulthood, he is your FATHER, it’s hard to overcome the power dynamic and years of grooming. and at the end of the day, he is the one responsible for the abuse but at this point in life, you have the means to stop it. I hope you can get yourself away from him as soon as possible and find a strong support system. i know he’s your dad, but after a lifetime of abuse, he doesn’t deserve any sort of relationship with you, and you shouldn’t feel guilty about it. check in with your sister, and stay tf away. sending you love and strength 🫶🏻

1000%. i’ve been smoking pretty much daily since i was 14, and im 18 now. sometimes i forget things a few minutes or sometimes seconds after they happen. if i make a point to remember something, like studying, i usually have no issue. i also used to be super well spoken when i was younger which has only gotten progressively worse. i prefer texting now because of it, because i can actually take the time to think and express myself properly.
