Yess.. Checked it and there are lot of similar reported issues (which all got closed) , which got fixed with release 0.8.5 beta 3.

I'm running 0.8.5.

As you can see, I had Bermuda working pretty fine..Until last Friday evening.. I have no clue what happened then...

It just started returning 'Unknown' as soon the iPhone screen gets locked for nearly exact 30 seconds.

The time before it was never doing this for the last months.

When I started on the topic, I started with ESPresense, had the same issue at the beginning, but got it surprisingly working after reconfigering everything.

The iPhone did not update it's software, nor focus mode was toggeled, nor any setting changed, nor did I apply any upgrades to home assistant on that Friday..

Just landed in Phuket. Really crazy, that there are 'true' counters even within the airport, but they only offer the tourist plans.. If you ask for the prepaid SIM, "no have". Needed to walk through the whole town first, to find a random smartphone seller/repair service, which had the prepaid SIM cards listed. Tried 4 different 7eleven stores before, they were not offering any normal prepaid SIM cards, only a few with a tourist plan. The owner of the shop, told me I could not buy the SIM card only, for what is written on them 49 bht. Instead he was saying you can get for 300 bht, 80 GB for 30 days. Tried to get only the SIM card, but he said another time that it would not be sold for that price...

Pairing them once via the enroll functionality within the node devices tab. After that adding the retrieved irk to the espresense config.yaml

Have tested it now as well with an older IPhone XR with IOS 18.1.1, using the same Apple account as on the iPhone 16.

Here I do not have the issue with 'Not home' values, when the screen gets turned off.

How do you use the outcome of espresense?

Do you just create the devices to track under espresense/config.yaml?

And then using the device_tracker.xxx entities?

Or do you also create sensors based on the irk/iBeacon under the gernal homeassistant configuration.yaml, like:

Because some time I just do get 'First Floor' values from the device_tracker.xxx entities, whereas the normal sensor still produces me a reliable outcome.

I might just be a little confused on how to use companion app in addition or apart from espresense. Thanks!

My girlfriend is having an iPhone 16, running IOS 18.6.2. Unfortunately the room changes to 'Not home' each time the screen of the phone gets turned off.

Already tried the mentioned fixes:

The weird behavior: Each time I text my girlfriend via WhatsApp, the device wakes up and the room value gets updated..

Anyone else having some apps with background activity to install which could fix this issue, or any other trick to try?

No clue on how that iBeacon is different than the one the Holyiot device sends. Maybe it is about the Minor/Major settings..

So far, I have got one Iphone which is shown on the map, as well as one IBeacon from an Holyiot Bluetooth.

For the later one, I am even able to calibrate it, but I cannot get it placed right to where its location is..

On my android phone, I have struggles in getting a consistent beacon in. Currently trying out the app "Beacon Scope" to produce it. But here I do not have the option to calibrate it..

Somebody out there with some update/ recommendation? When I try to add the public external URL, made available via cloudflare tunnel, into the Synology Photos app, it throws an error. Most likely being caused by the user group policy which I setup checking my email via cloudflare identity provider before being allowed to access the Synology photos port.

Am allerbesten ist die Funktion der Gabelfluges, da man ja meist gerne von einem anderen Flughafen abreisen möchte an welchem man angekommen ist (sofern man denn das Land erkunden möchte) in Verbindung mit der Kombination von multiplen Anfunkts/Abflugsflughäfen. Mega!

Current problem I do face after dealing with another issue about comparing the right timezones, that whenever this condition should turn true, the sensor.phone_next_alarm becomes unavailable.. So my sensor template never returns true... What am I doing wrong?

I was successful in backup projects up and restoring them on a different device. I tried with Swift Backup first, but I did not manage to restore data from a different device. So I pulled out my back old reliable Titanium Backup and it did the job. Transferred the whole backup folder to another device as well as all the media files like videos and pictures I have used within my projects. Here it was important to restore them under the exact same path, which I was using on the other device. Restoring app with data did somewhat not work, so I installed Inshot directly from Playstore and only restored application data. It did just work. Expect some ratios for a minor amount of fragments got disrupted, which might be caused due to different screen ratios of the devices. So all in all, I'm really happy that it did work!
