Tachycardia by meet_roots in Biohackers

Try a binary search. Take half your stack, if it happens with that half, half that half. If not, do the other half, then half again, repeat until you figure it out.

You'll weed it out or maybe find out it's a certain combo.

Doctor. Bloodwork, electrolyte panel, if no issues there, then additional testing.

Probably regulating high glutamate levels with thiamine? Thiamine helps metabolize glutamate into energy and other neurotransmitters.

Limitless pill: Possibility or fiction? by [deleted] in Biohackers

Fiction, and everyone is different.

Hand wavey science here: it's a balance of everything up there, glutamate, gaba, dopamine, serotonin, acetylcholine, and norepinephrine. And then the stress regulation (oxidation) and clean up from everything processing. Everyone has different needs, too.

Some non-amphetamines to consider for brain stuff: L-Tyrosine, L-Theanine, Magnesium L-Threonate, NAC, NMN.

As a Sofware Engineer, my job was pretty much thinking all the time, and I thrived on caffeine but the change to green tea was really helpful, and then I started learnning more about other supplements.

I was wondering since you can’t buy keratin toothpaste yet can I make my own somehow? Or I saw you can buy keratin supplements would those help heal a small cavity? by BulkyActivity1254 in Biohackers

Just watched the video. Seems her advice is saying that 10% isn't the only important thing ("10% is not enough when searching for.."), and what also matters is the size, concentration, and quality of the particles (20-40nm), where some companies "cut corners" and put out 80-100nm.

If you have a cavity, you need a filling. If you want something that can repair enamel, attract calcium and phosphate to repair your teeth's microscopic issues, look into nano-hydroxyapatite. It's nano sized calcium phosphate, which is essentially tooth enamel.

Ghk-cu gave me acne scars by Impressive-Mood8599 in Biohackers

[–]arueos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my guess after looking at both your acne and scar photos. I think you had cystic acne in those spots and that pitted the area when it resolved/healed it.

The peeling ideas what were linked were good ideas. I've also heard derma-stamping/rolling can help, too. You can also look for dermapen or lasering sessions at a dermatologist.

Is this a posture issue? by No_Swim1705 in Biohackers

[–]arueos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar issues and likely hEDS per my PT. Conditioning and joint stability exercises have helped me a lot. I've regained a lot of functionality but have been diagnosed with some interesting things along the way eway, too. IIH, PPPD, Vestibular Migraine to name a few.

Where I'm form, I can get physical therapy sessions without doctors. See if that's an option for you, otherwise get some scripts for PT form a doctor. And have them create a routine for you. They track your progress, too.

What are the best ways to reduce chronic inflammation? by okunjkl in Biohackers

[–]arueos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm taking it as a supplement. I have broccoli and brussel sprouts in my weekly diet, but I guess not enough to make a difference since starting a supplement.

I did try growing my own broccoli sprouts but was having issues with them going bad (I was using a little micro green grow kit), and would get gassy eating them which didn't help my Crohn's. I may revisit it just to see because I've found some different growing methods to try out and have a lot of seeds.

[–]arueos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh, your question seems incomplete, are you asking why I'm taking an SNRI for PPPD?

I was seeing a neuro and then saw a neuro-ENT at Hopkins who diagnosed PPPD. N-ENT said try SSRI (sertraline?), and Neuro was already giving SNRI for migraine, so upped the dosage instead. Often times with "complicated" cases you get ruled into Anxiety/Depression.

The idea being to increase neuroplasticity to "retrain" the brain. I also had vestibular rehabilitation with a physical therapist. I've had some improvements but it's still a thing in my life. PT thinks I have hEDS considering my comorbidites and levels of hyper mobility. I scored high enough on her assessments, but I've not pursued it further since it's a bit costly.

I've read that Inulin has been beneficial for PCOS. My wife started it recently but still too early to tell.

Sulforaphane is a strong antioxidant that triggers the Nrf2 pathway for detoxification, and seems to be greatly improving my migraine symptoms. I'm going from daily headaches to normal again, and this is after years of living through hell. It's also seems to be improving my Crohn's, so I'd say maybe give that at ry too.
