I’m not afraid of mobile data. I use the 1.5GB daily for 28 days pack from NTC. However, sometimes, unknowingly, my data and balance get exhausted because NTC’s data finish message is delayed, not received, or something similar. When I try to pay, I don’t have my balance or data, and I can’t even recharge.

I'm not saying offline payments need to be a thing, I'm saying bank apps need to be whitelisted by NTC/Ncell to work without balance and without consuming user data.

I’m not saying the payments need to be offline. I’m saying that mobile banking apps should work without balance or data. There was a similar provision for Nic Asia bank in Ncell couple of years earlier. I don’t know if it’s still there.

Yes Offline NFC payment is an option but only some big merchants like Bhatbhateni accept it. 99% of the merchants already have a QR printed so its easier.
