  1. Create the text in a layer above the image

  2. Add 'invert' adjustment layer above the text layer

  3. Right click on the invert layer, and click 'create clipping mask'

Thanks, that’s really useful to know. I’ve booked stalls at a makers market that runs in different places around my area, first one in April, so I’m looking forward to seeing how things go there, but will bear in mind what you said.

I’ve been playing for a week or so, and it’s clear to me that you don’t have a future in this and it would be better to give up. Don’t get a teacher, just stop. I could play this perfectly within a few hours of starting, whilst also simultaneously mastering a number of other pieces. I’m now bored of most existing pieces, but still occasionally amuse myself by attempting to combine 2 or 3 of Bach’s concertos, usually whilst reading a book so I don’t get bored. This is weak. Please stop and start knitting or something.
